Back to School Party Inspiration

"I don't know many 8 year olds who would be over the moon for a school-themed birthday party, but Neenie can't get enough of school," says Jill Overn of Peas & Thank Yous (the same cool mama who created this cowgirl-chic birthday party for her younger daughter, Lulu). But charged with her school-themed marching orders, Jill created a spectacularly stylish party, complete with a long recess; a favor bar stocked with puzzle erasers, crayons, composition books, and personalized backpack clips, and, of course, a chalkboard-topped cake. Jill even included some birthday lessons for her daughter, proving that fun and learning can go hand in hand!
