But would mama be shocked to learn the babe's cord blood already showed traces of more than 200 potentially hazardous chemicals before he had ever left the delivery room? From the much talked about BPA to PBDEs and Methylmercury, today's tots are exposed to more toxins than ever before they even arrive.

Beginning tonight, CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta hosts Toxic America, a two-part investigation of the toxins people are exposed to on a daily basis. The second half of the series focuses on children, including an interview with Healthy Child, Healthy World founders Jim and Nancy Chuda about new research linking early exposure to harmful chemicals with obesity, autism, ADHD, lower IQ, sexual reproduction issues, cancer, and more.

Did anyone watch the first part that aired last night - Toxic Towns? It's so scary how people are dying and the corporations are denying liability and the government is twiddling their thumbs. This is why we need to have the Safe Chemicals Act passed.
