When it's time to take baby home from the hospital, don't leave your postpartum bag of supplies behind! Not only do the medical items inside come in handy for obvious reasons, but they have alternate uses that most new mamas probably won't dream up until they are in a pinch. Check out our tips and put your stash to good use.
Ha...I didn't get this "swag" either. I got a peri bottle, very few super crappy pads, and the plastic seat that goes over the toilet to wash in (can't remember the name). Oh and my one pair of disposable undies.
2Jennibean5, you didn't happen to deliver in Canada did you? I can't forget that yes, I did get the 1 pair of disposable undies-I hear you get 2 pair with a c-section though!
3We get a box. Formula samples or a hand breast pump, lots of pads, both sanitary and for the bed, a stack of mesh undies (which I LOVE), the peri bottle, and various other items. A group of local ladies put together some things like tshirts, hand-knitted hats, etc.
4No anon #3, I was in NY. And the nurse actually told me they were only allowed to give 1 pair to everyone.

Where I live we don't get a postpartum hospital bag. All the "swag" we get is a perri bottle, however that works great if you make your own baby wipes and solution for storing the solution and then sprtizing the baby wipes.
