When life gives you lemons, fight back with lemonade. That's the philosophy behind Alex's Lemonade Stand, the foundation started by the family of Alex Scott, a tenacious victim of childhood cancer who lost her battle at the age of 8. Throughout Alex's short life, she — along with the help of others — raised more than $1 million through lemonade stand sales to help find a cure for the disease. Since 2006, the foundation has funded more than 300 research projects and received Charity Navigator's highest rating of four stars.
This Summer, Brooklyn-based Hiho Batik is joining the fight with a limited edition capsule collection of lemon-themed batik tees and dresses for kids. A percentage of sales from each piece benefits Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, and the goal is to spread awareness, inspiring tots across countries to start their own cancer-fighting lemonade stands. Check out the collection in its entirety, and get shopping (and squeezing those lemons)!
