I agree with FredsMom. I loved the movie August Rush, but I am adoptive parent and didn't like how they did perpetuate the myth of holding out for their "real" parents. Annie was just like that. Whoever said Anne of Green Gables had a good suggestion.I have not seen Meet the Robinson's, but another adoptive parent told me not to let my child see it. I guess I need to watch it first to make sure it is suitable.

As an adoptive parent, I found August Rush to be really emotionally manipulative and cast a poor spin on adoption. It perpetuates a myth about why children are placed for adoption and that children should just hold out for their "real" parents to come and find them to complete their family.
