Breast cancer is a cause near and dear to her heart, so Desperate Housewives's actress Marcia Cross has been putting her efforts into fighting for rights for women recuperating from mastectomies.
The Melrose Place veteran is using her star power to bring attention to a 12–year–old bill that would grant patients 48 hours to recover after their surgery. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia – you look good behind that podium!
When asked about her twin girls' future in show business or politics, she was very clear about her wishes for them. She told People,
I wouldn't actually want them to go into show business, but politics?" she pondered. "Maybe. Hmm. Senator Mahoney. President Mahoney. If they want to, I'll be there for them.

I think I'll let them choose.
But, just as a personal
preference, I think I'd prefer they avoid both.
1I can't wait to see what my kids become when they grow older, they would be fabulous at so many things. Right now I love having them little though, I could just eat them up!
2i use to work in politics and let me tell you; it is a vicious blood sport. and from what i see the price of fame is way to high. maybe at a bank or in a hospital
3Well, I'm kind of creative and I see those tendencies in my daughter too. I think she would really enjoy being an actress/entertainer as an artistic outlet. But I think I'd rather she be a Broadway theater actress than a big movie star.
Politics I'm not so sure about. It just seems like even if you have a good heart and want the best for the people...there are too many things standing in the way.
4I will let any child I have choose their path. All we can hope for is that we instill in them the ideals that help them to be a success at what ever they choose.
