Denise Richards Pushes Kids in Front of the Camera

Denise Richards and ex–husband Charlie Sheen duked it out in court this week for Denise's right to exploit, I mean include, her two children in her new reality television show.

She won the argument, which means the couple's daughters — three-year-old Sam and two-year-old Lola — can be filmed. The production is set to revolve around the single Hollywood mother and her girls. Apparently, the agreement is subject to rules, which we are not privy to at this time.

Even though Charlie Sheen is far from Mr. Perfect, I have to give him credit for trying to keep his offspring out of the spotlight that is Hollywood. I thought the mother would be the one to protect them until they were old enough to make the decision for themselves.

What do you think of Denise Richards' intentions?

Ugh! I just can't see what good comes from her doing this. Except the money she'll get from the show, which I'm guessing will be minimal. Sad.

It makes me sad to see someone thrusting their two young children into the light like this. I know that her career's never really taken off the way she wanted, but to insist that her reality show include her children (who aren't old enough to make a decision like that themselves)? That sickens me.

This is ridiculous. I cannot believe that the judge agreed to this.

Slimy. I would feel totally different if she and Charlie were on good terms. I think she wants to do this to make herself look better.

She is also, I read somewhere, trying to terminate his rights. She is very bitter, and while I think Charlie Sheen has work to be done on himself, should not be terminated from his rights. He obviously cares about his daughters, or he wouldn't be fighting back (like a certain spiraling pop star).

I am totally against doing something like this. Im on Charlie's side...i cant believe the courts actually ruled in her favor. I would never put my children out there like that...especially at such a young age. She's being selfish using them to forward her career.

I'm surprised the judge ruled in her favor too. And, especially after the kids had to deal with the entire divorce battle.

I think she is psycho. He may not be a saint but thway she is been behaving, she is either unstable or she just tries every single pathetic thing she can come up with to be the center of attention. It's sad, really.

the judge probably ruled in her favor because not doing the show is infringing on her right to have a career and income. I don't necessarily agree with it, not at all...but the people producing the show may have stipulated that the kids be part of it or no show at all. I used to like Denise, a lot. I don't like Charlie at all, never have. I would hope she would instead...look for other offers that she can do without her kids being put into the spotlight.

although i would never do this, she is no different than the thousands of other mothers who thrust their children in the spotlight to model clothes or do tv commercials

when i first read about this i was like "oh god, denise richards is stooping to a new low" but i think it really depends on what her show ends up being like. if her kids are in it 24/7 and are the main focus of the show, i think that's really shady. but if it's like kimora simmon's show, where the kids are seen but not a lot and aren't the focus of the show, i don't think that's too horrible. i still would never do it and would never advocate it, but i don't think it would harm her kids anymore than their nasty divorce has or will. if the kids were a bit older i don't think it would be quite as bad either, but they're so young. i dunno, something about this just seems really selfish on denise's part. i too am surprised the judge ruled in her favor.

I think the worst part about it is that the father, Charlie Sheen in this case, is clearly very against it and she is completely disregarding his cares and concerns. To me, parenting is a 50/50 responsibility and while they won't always agree, it's a pretty blatant slap in his face.

Is she at all an interesting person? WTF would this show even be about? Watching another train wreck in motion, I suppose.

I totally agree w/ babysugar... she shares parenting responsibility w/ her ex and clearly they are not in agreement on this (thankfully at least one parent is expressing some common sense!!) and to drag the children through yet another legal battle is clearly not in their best interest. I guess the $$ from the show can pay for the girls therapy??? It's sad. They are cute girls and I'm sure very sweet

that woman who designs colthes, baby phat i think, is horrible about using her kids for air time. sadly, i think charlie only objected because he din't want denise to be associated with the kids, not because he wants to protect them. denise is a real piece of work.

My first thought was that the kids were too young for something like this. Then I remembered how much I love "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and I felt kinda hypocritical thinking one was exploitative and not. I think I'll have to reserve judgment unless I want to see Jon & Kate as exploiting, too.

I'm really amazed that most of the comments on here are negative towards Denise. Prior to her reality show, I was not a fan, but since I've been watching the show I have a new respect for her. How can anyone who hasn't been in her shoes dare judge her for what she is doing? There has been little positive press about Denise and I don't blame her for doing this show to portray herself in a different light. And as far as the children go, they spend very little time in front of the camera. Paparazzi is going to splash pictures of her kids all over magazines every chance they get. So arguments that children shouldn't be exploited in the media is a losing battle. Denise is not exploiting her children. I have yet to see a reality show that doesn't have children on it. I love her show and I respect what she is doing.

Its Just funny how you all are so quick to judge! First off every time you buy a magazine with pix of Shiloh Jolie Pitt, you are helping exploit her! No one seems to care when Denise is walking Down the street and people snap unwelcomes pix of her kids.Yet even though those pix of innocent kids are in those mags, I am willing to bet everyone here has bought one!I also DOnt understand why you all suddenly care so much? I mean no one is coming Down on Tori and DEan for having their baby in the show,or Jon and Kate plus 8. You dont exploit children by taping them at home and having a tea party! Now Jon Bennett Ramsey's mother(cant spell) that was exploitation!
P.S. Charlie Sheen sounds liek some sort of Schitzo to me!
