The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled 38,000 Cranium Cadoo Board Games that were sold between October 2007 through January 2008 for about $20.
The popular children's game's die has excessive levels of lead on its surface paint. Though no incidents or injuries have been reported, anyone with a board game lot number (printed under the plastic tray on the bottom half of the box) between 2007195 and 2007244 should discontinue use immediately, throw away the die and contact Cranium, Inc. at (877) 272-6486 to receive a replacement.

1Nothing is safe anymore, its' so scary! This past Christmas we only bought Melissa and Doug toys for our daughters - they may be a bit more expensive but at least they are safer, better quality and will last longer.
2Sorry I know it's not really related to the post, but.. Sweet Lord I hate that game SO MUCH!!
3I'm so sick of all of these lead paint recalls! I'm so scared to let my son play with anything anymore! Why is this still happening? Don't we have regulations in the US that is supposed to protect our children from lead tainted toys? Let's just start having everything manufatured in the US and pay a little more for them...it's better than dealing with this lead paint issue all the time. I know I'm not the only one that is sick of finding out that the toys our kids are playing with have lead paint! Sorry...just annoyed
4You can help that along, Buffy, by choosing to pay attention to where things are made and trying to buy things made in the US/Europe/etc... when possible.
