It seems like everyone has at least one friend that just isn't into kids. I do. They always have something nice to say about my babe, "cute outfit" or something else that isn't too endearing.
On last night's Notes From the Underbelly, baby-avoiding Cooper spent the night with new mom, Julie and darling lil Perry. I loved watching Cooper in action with the baby when his mama was too wiped out to deal. Remind you of any of your antibaby friends?

Actually, and this will sound bad, but I've always been a bit anti-baby (not really anti, but not gaga over them), and I'm due in 5 weeks! I'm thrilled because I know it will be entirely different with my own, but I've always preferred older kids (and have no baby experience). So I really could relate to Cooper in many ways with the little infant. It was quite funny.
1Yeah my best friend. She loved me daughter, and did things with her all the time, but would actually make me feel like crap sometimes for having a kid. She would go on and on about how she NEVER wanted kids and it just wasn't for her and she needed something other than a boring life at home with kids. She would constantly rub in my face everything she did.
When I got pregnant with my second (6 years later) she acted very jealous. 6 months later she was pregnant. Now she has a beautiful daughter that she loves.
And this is probably terrible to say, but she acts like the perfect do gooder mom and sometimes it makes me sick for the way she used to try to make me feel about being a Mom, how lame I was for it. And still I am very nice and supportive and there for her when she needs help.
2Whoops I mean MY daughter.
3Heh. "Look! Shiny keys!... and a rape whistle!"
I think I was the anti-baby one up until a couple of years before I had my daughter.
4totally antibaby. don't worry, they don't like me either.
5lol
6that was hysterical!
