Hot tot Suri Cruise made our Kid Friendly or Are You Kidding poll last week with her hair-do, but this week we're questioning her footwear.
Rumor has it that she is getting her own pair of custom made Christian Louboutin shoes. And, costs are estimated to be upwards of $2,500. It might seem a bit ridiculous, but when your dad is Tom Cruise and your mom is shopoholic Katie Holmes, your wardrobe has no boundaries. Let's just hope the commissioned shoes aren't heels!

I can't think what damage that could do to her little bones in her ankles and feet by wearing heels before they are delevoped.

3I would hope they aren't heels - but if you're buying $2,500+ shoes for your kid, there's really no telling.
4They're not going to be heels. And Katie and Tom can easily afford it - so why shouldn't Suri have the best shoes?

7This is just insane. There are kids with no dinner in this country, but two actors have a kid wearing $2500 shoes. Seriously - where is the social responsibility here?
8I don't know, I'm not sure if I would buy my kids 2500 dollar shoes, even if I were rich. It just seems wasteful to me. And I really hope that they're not going to be heels.

Tom donates and gives money. he works for his money, just like you do. and you have a right to buy whatever you want for yourself/wife/hubby/kids.

24Asia88: we donate to food banks monthy and my 2 younger girls have been to a soup kitchen to "help" (clean up as they were 5 and 7). we also do service projects for homeless through our church and my middle daughter has helped with special needs athletes on a dozen occasions. my kids have given their allowance to homeless people more times than i can count. my family does what it can for those in need. children learn by example. what example are tom and katie setting for their daughter? seems like "nothing is too much for YOU". again; sickening.
25i am thinking they were given as a gift. suri must get all kinds of "swag" seeing how much she's photographed.

29think about it - she gets carried around a lot even though she can walk - so even if she was going to get those heels - it wouldn't be an issue - she'd kick them off before she wandered around. and i think that they are soo cute!
30lickety slit, you're certainly entitled to your opinion....and i LOVE the fact that you teach your girls to give back and that you do so much for people in need... that's truly wonderful...
that being said, i freakin love the idea of lil suri getting those loubs! go suri!!!! i bet you'll rock them and look abfab!

32I totally agree w/ jennyjen. there are people starving w/ no shoes on their feet at all. it is awful how frivolous a lot of celebrities are these days. makes me sick!
33it definately sets the wrong example, licketysplit. it's wonderful that you and your family do so much to help your community. a lot of people who have money do seem to have that "nothing is too good for me" attitude.

35I also think its crazy to be buying $2500 shoes especially if shes just going to outgrow them in a couple of months. If youre going to waste that much money at least wait until her feet are done growing.

36I'm guessing this is a PR stunt by Louboutin to see if there is a market for high end kids shoes.
