1Honestly, this is starting to piss me off. Between needing a "toned belly" and a crapload of airbrushing to be considered a "hot" pregnant mama, women are going to feel even worse about the changes their bodies are going through with pregnancy.
And to be clear, it's not lilsugar that's annoying me. It's the media need for perfection even in pregnancy. God forbid we admit that pregnant women can have stretch marks and still be beautiful.

4I totally agree. I felt that way with both pregnancies. I was small & had 9 pound babies & only gained "baby weight" (22-24 lbs total each time) but was paranoid the whole time! There was a lot of societal pressure. At about 6 months people said to me "You look like you are about to pop" and I was like "Um yeah, in like 4 months". There was pressure to look cute, buy $$ clothes...ugh. I was puking the WHOLE time. I just wanted for it to be over & wear yoga pants & be left ALONE!

7didn't ever occur to me to be concerned about looking "sexy" when i was pregnant. of course maxim is interested in having abother list that gets them air time. here are some more possibilities; 10 hottest women who are gay, 7 hottest women who lost custody of their children. this is like that playboy feature that shows women naked with new titles each month; "women on the big 10", "women of the ivy league". are men really that much in need of "stimulation material"?

11Hey, my belly is more toned than it ever was! I think the guys at Maxim are just jealous because they can get a rock hard tummy on the cheese and crackers, bagels and ice cream diet.
Jokes aside... I'm not sure why this should make me feel bad about the changes my body is going through. The existence of Maxim hottest whatever lists had no bearing on how I felt about my body before I got pregnant. Why should that change?
