With Thanksgiving in the rearview mirror, it's now time to cruise into the holiday shopping madness with Black Friday. Last year more than 80 percent of you said you skipped the sales, but the deals can be particularly great for those of us who need to stock up on seasonal goodies and presents. Will your family hit the stores today?

Hubby and I are going out later today. Not necessarily for the deals since there isn't anything we're interested in that are a black friday featured deal. It's just a fun thing we do and it's nice to be able to get the shopping done so we can ship things to out of state relatives and just be done with the shopping as early as possible so we can enjoy the holiday season with the children.
1Nope, im already done with the christmas/birthday shopping, so we are relaxing at home with turkey sandwhiches.
2No way in hell! Regular shopping in malls is a nightmare - why increase it for some so-called "bargains"?

I'm not kidding here! I went to Walmart last week to get a pair of good winter boots ($28!) & was pushed, elbowed, shoved against a wall... not 1 person bothered to say "sorry". Whereas I simply said: "excuse me & may I pass, please" whenever I had to push through people to get where I wanted to go next... I litterally had to shove people aside because they couldn't be bothered moving to let me pass.
-
I was left to apolize to a guy I fell against (who almost gave me the rant from hell) after I was shoved by someone else. After calmly explaining what had happened (he was facing away so didn't see it, his wife did & told him), he said rather sadly: "I'm sorry too... By the way, hug the walls!" So I did that whenever anybody came close.
-
Only half the cash register lanes were open... 15 minutes of waiting to get the hell out of there & back outside for fresh air and open spaces. Was I ever happy! Got home, decompressed, went out with friends for dinner... woke up the next morning stiff & bruised all over.
-
My advice: save the grief of "madness" in malls - buy gift cards, write out checks - give cash to those you love... Let THEM go to the malls & deal with rude, selfish people while YOU stay home with hot chocolate, cookies, etc. watching some movies on DVD, TV or listening to music.

It's just gonna get worse if you don't.
Where's my comment?
4I wouldn't expect anything less shopping at Walmart. Yesterday I walked into Target at 7am, looking for 1 thing I saw in the ad and when I saw what the store looked like I walked out and went home. Never again!!!
5We went yesterday and it was a good experience. The stores were pretty busy, but we've certainly seen busier. But we went in the afternoon, I'm assuming most of the rush was already gone. We did not experience any rude people. Some slow moving people but everyone was pleasant
6No
7Absolutely not. Being around people behaving like savage animals is not appealing and not healthy. We'll be shopping online.
8i went but the fam stayed home i felt sorry for these little babys and young children out shopping weee hours in the morning and it was cold here too
