Daylight Savings used to mean sleeping in an extra hour but now that I'm a parent, it just means my day gets started an hour earlier. Many moms gripe about the change while others hardly make it noticeable in their routine. When my kids woke up this morning, the clock read 7:00 instead of 8:00. I could get used to that. It also makes bedtime easier — waking up with the sunlight and tucking the kids in when it's dark makes more sense than when they are switched. Now that I'm a mom, I say bring on the regular hours! What's your take on Daylight Savings?

i am not yet a mother but i had never thought about this. now i'm dreading daylight savings when i have children lol!
1I love it because I love waking up to sunlight.
2Ugh, I hate it now! I really don't appreciate the extra early wake up the last couple of days.
3We had the joy of throwing in 1 very sick kid, 1 who decided she should get up to nurse and play for a few hours in the night and another who woke with night terrors all the same night as the time change. I never have liked it, but this year really made me HATE the time change!
4"When my kids woke up this morning, the clock read 8:00 instead of 7:00."
So your kids slept an extra two hours? Because what would've been 7 on Saturday was 6 on Sunday, not 8.
I despise DST. It's useless, pointless, and needs to be abolished. I hated it before having kids and hate it more now, because sleep habits take a beating with an hour time change.
5We just gave our daughter a longer nap on Saturday so she stayed up later on Saturday night and slept through till 7.30 on Sunday morning.
Job done.
6We kept our kids up later too! So worked out perfect for us! And it felt good to get up when it was sunny!
7My daughter has a really hard time sleeping, so it was a huge pain in the butt. She wanted to go to bed too early, which meant a too early rise, and then fussy for the few days, shes finally adjusting now. and I'm not feeling the full on blaring sun in the morning.
