Trendy tot Suri Cruise and her mama have always had a passion for fashion, but now they are both rocking high heels! Katie Holmes's 3-year-old sidekick recently strutted her stylish stuff down a Boston street in shimmery shoes. The wee one has worn designer garb since leaving the womb and is often primped and polished, so it's no surprise that her latest footwear selection gives her about an inch on her peers.
When a rumor circulated a while back about the girly girl getting a custom made pair of $2,500 Christian Louboutin shoes, 81 percent of LilSugar readers said the pricey accessory only belonged in a mama's closet. But that wasn't enough to keep users from voting Suri the most stylish tot of 2008. Check out these pics and tell us if you think her shiny peep-toes are totally adorable or too much!
True Religion
They have heels.
That's too much -- in fact I'm disgusted when I see little girls in heels.
1She is WAY too young for heels like that.
2No no no. Just no.
3Why is the toddler wearing heels to trot around town while mom gets to relax in flats? Seriously, I think it's borderline abusive to encourage things like heels, which are KNOWN to cause everything from bunyons and corns to hip and spine problems in ADULTS. If they're that unhealthy for adult women, how much worse are they on the forming and growing bodies of very young children? Holmes should be ashamed of herself. Tom clearly needs to step up his brainwashing techniques.
4I don't see anything wrong with it. Sometimes my son wants to wear his suit and dress shoes. I let him, if he thinks it's fun to dress up why not? I don't see this any differently. It's not as those shoes are high heels that would be a major risk for injury.
5suri is one pretty little girl.
6ok the heels are a bit much, but how adorable is suri?!?!?
7cystal --- there is no danger to your son wearing dress shoes... there IS a danger of suri rolling over her ankle in heels, despite their low height.
and why the eff is a 3 year old wearing heels anyhow? this clearly isn't playing dress up --- the shoes FIT her and she's WALKING in them !
8There's also a risk of rolling an ankle while running in a soccer game. I'm not going to condemn a parent for putting their kids in sports.
9I honestly don't see how this is a big deal...
I don't think its a big deal. She has loved girly girly dress up clothes from the beginning, and she isn't seen wearing them constantly. Several months ago Violet Affleck was wearing a pair of red heels, costume shoes that were soo cute, and no one went ape over that. In fact, most places that featured the pictures, later featured where to buy them. They weren't as girly and thin heeled as these, but the point is the same. I put it on the same rung as the kids who wear costumes out in public all of the time. As long as shes not wearing them constantly, her feet are going to be fine.
10She is such a cutie. and I'm loving her skirt!!
11Eh, it's probably not as if katie doesn't have some sensible shoes for her to wear when she wants them.
12..suri in high heels? it's not surprising here in our country.
13..high heels and very pretty little girls shoes had been in
fashion here for at least 5 yrs already. you can see these
kind of little girls shoes in every shoe stores here in our country.
Play dress up shoes can still fit correctly. Disney has the most adorable platform shoes for their Halloween costumes. I wouldn't have my child wear them daily, but once in awhile, sure. Who knows how often Suri wears these?
And really, the risk of twisting an ankle, are soccer cleats off limits when running from the car into the arena? Heelys?
14Don't be soo hard on her. She's probably just having fun wearing pretty healed shoes for the day. I remember having plastic healed shoes when I was young and being really excited to wear them. Weather, it was playing dress up or begging my mom to let me wear them to the grocery store, i was just a little girl having fun with them like Suri probably is.
15Whaa?
Look at how bad high heels are for your feet:

I don't even want to imagine what they do to her little feet! =S
16A baby in high heels is scary, but then so is Scientology.
17I don't think this is so bad, the heels aren't that high as mentioned and I would think she would have a higher chance in hurting herself if she was playing dress up with her mom's 3-5" heels. I had heels when I was little and they were all of 1/2 inch if that.
She is really really cute
18Calm down shoe police, she isnt going to get orthopedic problems because of the heels, I promise.
I wore heels, for dance class, for dress up, for halloween, and my feet and back are just fine.
I think she looks adorable. and katie is a great mom.
19Heels are a bit too much. I would not let my daughter wear them.
20I think everyone needs to calm down. These do not look like the most well-made shoes (the sole is coming off in one picture). Therefore, I expect they were meant for dress-up, but Suri insisted on wearing them outside that day. Just like little girls sometimes want to wear tutus and tiaras to the supermarket. And, I don't think it's so horrible to indulge a child's whims every once in a while. I am sure that when Katie Holmes takes her daughter out shopping, it's not like when I take my daughter out. We actually have to walk and use public transportation. I'm sure there is a driver to take the family from store to store, if only for security purposes (and that's probably why we never saw Suri in a stroller- she always walks or is carried). We've all seen pictures of this child in sensible, albeit expensive, flats. It's not time to call Child Protective Services or express "disgust" just yet . . .
21It's sad to see a parent encourage "fashion" on a kid. Poor Suri.
22I wonder what's next. Fishnet stockings?
23probably tattoos and drugs.. she's just spiraling out of control... lol
24No wonder even Walmart tries to sell hooch clothes for 4 year olds. Why should it surprise me that some celebrity is dressing their 3 year old up like a 15 year old hooker.
25love them...where do you find them?
26Okay, I am not a fan of little girl in dancing shoes, but fifteen year old hooker is a bit much peopel
27I personally love it... My 5 yrs old absolutely loves shoes and heals. It's a girl thing, and I would love to purchase my daughter a pair (to expensive ). It not what you wear , but the way she put those shoes on suri is extremely cute......
