Kids are lil cookie monsters, but before you think chocolate chip, peanut butter, or snickerdoodles, consider whipping up a batch of the breakfast variety. Over at The Children's Table, one of LilSugar's community groups, GirlC posted this healthful recipe for the mom-tested and tot-approved breakfast drop cookies.
The munchies contain high fiber and nutrient-rich ingredients like bran cereal, carrots, and raisins. The perfect handheld morning meal can be munched on at preschool or anytime kiddos are on the go. If you're looking for a place to share recipes (like bean burgers and lasagna mash) or tips and tricks about feeding children, join The Children's Table!

i am sure this is a great recipe but the idea isn't cool to me - only because it teaches kids that cookies for breakfast are good, and when they get the opportunity to grab any cookie they want they will think it's okay - they won't differentiate between healthy and unhealthy cookies
imagine giving this to your kid monday-friday before school then taking them through a drivethrough saturday morning on the way to grandma's and they want a cookie then too? and the only versions are chocoaltea and sugar? kinda hard to explain
1I don't see anything wrong with this every once in a while. We used to have healthy amazing breakfasts every morning, nuts and grains and cottage cheese and fruit, all week long. Then come Sunday morning we had some sort of fun special big breakfast. It could be anything from pumpkin pancakes with cream cheese, giant waffles with butter and syrup, eggs and bacon and sausage and toast, maybe a resturant trip, or french toast with powdered sugar and syrup.. not things you want to eat every day. We never got used to it or really asked for or expected it for the other days of the week becuase it was special. It was Sunday breakfast.
2I have made those cookies and they were delicious! Great recipe, GirlC!
