What would you do if a stranger slapped your toddler across the face? Atlanta-area police arrested a 61-year-old man this week after he allegedly smacked a 2-year-old who wouldn't stop crying. According to witnesses, the man told the little girl's mother, "If you don’t shut that baby up, I will shut her up for you." When the little girl continued to whimper, the man – who did not know the family – grabbed her and struck her four or five times, saying "See, I told you I would shut her up." He has been charged with first-degree cruelty to children.
The victim's mother says she is doing okay, but the incident has many people shaking their heads. Plenty of children act up in public places, how would you react if a stranger struck your lil one? Watch the video clip when you, read more.

1these is beyond what i could even imagine...I am not sure how i would react but i have a feeling i would be trying to kill the man that injured my child.

2Only here in friggen, Georgia. Some people here are just so rude! More rude than any people I have EVER met, and I am from the northeast. I was horrified to hear this! I would have taken that old ass man DOWN if he EVER touched my kid. But here, a lot of older men are like this -- kind of belligerent and stepping over their boundaries. The audacity of this is just unbelievable. I may never be able to go to Gwinnett county without thinking of this guy...just like I am never able to drive anywhere in this state without hearing dueling banjos and replaying just about every other scene from Deliverance.

9I read this story last night and just wanted to get violent on this guy. There's no WAY IN HELL he would have been able to walk out of that Walmart without a stretcher if that was my child. They probably would have had to arrest me. And to look at this guy's picture??? He looks like a guy used to bullying others smaller than him and getting away with it. Well not with me.

had a woman tell my autistic daughter to "shut up", she was humming. and THAT got a very extreme reaction from both my husband and i. PRETY sure she never repeated that comment.
12this story infuriates me. This poor woman. It's embarrassing and hard to be somewhere when your child melts down, and then to have your baby assaulted. I hope the judge throws the ENTIRE book at this excuse for a human.
