This is getting beyond ridiculous. I've always wondered if she and Jim Bob have a personal relationship with each of the 18 kids. I just want to know what provoked her to do this.

I'm shocked her body has been able to handle all of those children. At one point shes going to be facing permanent damage, and all of those pregnancies take years off of your life. You don't have to use birth control to stop having children, i think they should start soon to improve the quality of her life and her body.

Wow. I just can't imagine going through a 19th pregnancy and then raising 19 children! They seem like such nice people, too. Just wow.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I guess they dont think that their 19 children are going to have a negative impact on the environment. This is the epitome of overpopulation. Like, really, after 18 they were like "Let's go for just ONE more!"?????? IT makes NO sense. They must have no life outside of their children and Michelle's entire life has been taken up by being pregnant- thats awfuL!

I suppose it's god's will to f$*k and procreate like rabbits with these people but really, it's old now. I still say this woman is addicted to being pregnant and the attention it gets her and the breastfeeding.
I just can't imagine living in a family where the only path in life you're expected to take as a female is to constantly screw and pop out babies.

I guess Jim Bob got seventeen kids with his letter, now they figure Michelle can have a few with hers since they're never going to stop having children until Michelle hits menopause what with them "leaving up to God" how many children they have.

McKenzie is what Josh and Anna are naming their daughter, not what Michelle named her last.

i agree #22. if you're going to argue for a woman's right to choose, then support michelle duggar. she's choosing to have another child. so what if it happens to be her 19th? far as i can tell the children, are fed, clothed, provided for and seem happy. this is obviously not the norm in our society today, but this is their business.

Why do we not get the "don't women judge each other enough? You have no idea about these people!!" comments about the Duggars like we do the Gosselins?

I don't understand why there are so many negative comments. Their show is proof that they are good parents, they are debt free, their children are obviously very loved...

So this isn't the norm, so most of us wouldn't dream about having that many children, but honestly, who are we to judge when they are all happy, safe and well cared for.

Sick, sick, sick! I can't believe how selfish and deluded these people are! These parents are so self-centered and I hate how they always give some moral "justification" to defend their behavior. Who's paying to support all of these children? I'm willing to bet that a lot of tax payers' dollars are funding a great chunk of their income, if not all. Do they have any idea how lucky they are to have had 18 HEALTHY children? Why not focus on the children they do have and dedicate some time to them rather than dumping them on the older children. This is all just so beyond ridiculous, I really can't see how anyone can possibly think this is ok.

I really don't think this has anything to do with women's rights!! Man or woman, the moment you choose to have a child you automatically have a duty, obligation and responsibility towards that child. Who is really providing for these kids? How can they possibly play an active role in their kids' lies? These kids are not naked nor are they starving but they live in such a sheltered world with 2 very self-seeking parents. A child deserves better!

She can do whatever she damn well pleases to her body but she is doing a complete disservice to these poor EXISTING children and that is what is shameful - any person with half a brain could see that but both husband and wife are clearly a little soft in the head.

Actually I see these children being raised in a home far more loving than many families with one or two children.

The only thing I can see "wrong" about this is that they are getting older, and ya know, they might only live to see their youngest kid (now) to 25 or something...probably not much more than that. Sure death can happen at any age, but I don't think having a kid at 25 is a risky as nearly 50. They should think of the children they do have right now. You cannot pay attention individually to that many kids, especially with little ones running around. I have a feeling those kids are not as happy as they say they are. Just my opinion.

Oh and pp above me, SJP and Matthew used a surrogate so the dangers weren't even present like they are for Michelle with her advanced age.

They claim to have used their own sperm and egg, so the maternal age is still the same. Also, it was in response to the parents dying before their child was 25.

And I hope lil doesn't post Halle's announcement without confirmation from Halle's own rep, not just a random source.

For argument's sake, if the government and TLC cut off their cash supply, I'm not so sure these people would have had so many kids if they actually had to go out and bust their hump to support them.
