The death of American icon Michael Jackson has rocked the world. The man known for his single glove, moonwalk, and videos was a musical legend. While fans and famous friends of the musician mourn, those most affected by the 50-year-old's passing are his children — Prince Michael Jr., 12, daughter Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7. The kids have spent their lives sheltered from the public often out sporting veils, masks, and blankets to shield their identities. Now in the wake of their father's death, who will care for the youngsters?
Prince Michael and Paris Katherine's mother, Debbie Rowe, was once married to Jackson and petitioned for custody, but the children have always lived with their dad. The surrogate mom of Prince Michael II was never made public. One report said that the singer's wish was to have his longtime confident and the children's nanny, Grace Rwaramba, raise them if something were to happen. Meanwhile it is said that Jackson's parents, Joe and Katherine, have also expressed interest in adopting their grandchildren. But, given the late king of pop was very public about his tumultuous relationship with his father, this may be unlikely. Hopefully, all involved will put the children's interests first and help them through this tragedy.

It is always beautiful and best when the family steps in to petition the court for custody but in this situation I don't think that is the best idea look at Michael, those kids would be better off with the nanny or a stranger.
1Lets not give them to Joe and katherine.......
2I hope they don't go to his weird family. It is a shame that Prince and Paris' biological mom may not get them since she gave up legal rights to them. I really hope they end up in a healthy environment where they are loved. His young kids are the true sad aftermath of his passing.
3Keep the kids as far from Katherine and Joe as possible. They don't need more kids to screw up
4It would be sad for the kids to be split up after their dad's death, and I assume Debbie Rowe would only be able to get custody of the first two because the last child isn't hers.
5oh wow, I guess TMZ is reporting that Rowe's parental rights were never terminated as had been reported since CPS never conducted a full investigation at the time
6You know what I think sucks? Gossip sites, including Pop, speculating about the children. Their life has been enough of a circus, give them at least a few days grace to grieve their father.
7All I hope is that the children stay together and are surrounded with love. It's what I've been worried about since I learned of his death. The death of a parent is a horrible loss for a child, so I hope that everyone remembers that when it comes time to decide where they live. They are people, not golden tickets.
My heart truly goes out to this innocent children and all of the things they are going to be exposed to in the next few days and years.
8A lot of this Jackson attention has been bothering me. Last week most if us would have talked only about what a whackjob he was, but now we just hear about how great and talented he was. It all just seems so two faced because he's passed away.
Whereas this post I felt expressed concern and hope for the happiness of his children, not simply a vapid curiosity. I think Kia said it very nicely.
9I hope the children get to stay together as well.
10I don't think Michael's parents getting the kids would be the ideal situation. Aside from the mistakes they've made raising their own kids, they are a bit old to raise young kids. I wonder how many years they have left, and then the kids would have to deal with more change.
11I say, let LaToya get them.
I personally think Janet or La Toya would be the best for the kids in the long run. I say Janet first only because she and Michael were the closest but she also has a career (and doesn't seem to be interested in parenting) and Uncle Jermaine Dupri (ha!) that would be interesting. La Toya is ok but doesn't seem as reclusive as Janet even though she has no career (and no money).
Debbie Rowe attempted to terminate her parental rights twice! Hell no. And seperating the kids after their only (true) parent passed would be devastating. Katharine (didn't she divorce Joe, if so yes, if not no!) would be ok but she's like in her 80's and Jermaine would be semi-ok but he has 10 kids (and no money), he's a little busy.
12I personally think Janet or La Toya would be the best for the kids in the long run.
La Toya is attention starved, she was on at least 2 reality shows and has writen a book on growing up a Jackson. If she were to get custody of the kids I see another book coming out. I say Janet all the way (including the nanny).
13i do hope the mother who gave birth to the kids has them it is only fair and correct since she was in love with the man. i agree with many of the bloggers michael's dad was abusive not his mother i believe if they go to his family have the mother take them and not bother with his sisters they are not good role models for the kids.
but what ever comes out of it i hope they go to a nice home.
14kids need love and kindness and respect like all kids do don't stick them in a foster home that is not right
LaToya messed her face up almost as much as Michael, so she doesn't seem too stable. Janet might seem the most logical one from the Jackson family but it might be best if they just stay with their nanny.
15Of course we don't know what went on in their home but I don't see Michael being a stable parent so they were probably raised by their nanny all these years anyway.
in my opinion i think that janet will be beter for the kids because her and michael were so freakin close and people dnt understand that everybody have day ups and downs and for the family 2 want custody day mama got to be doing something wrong day just aint gona say da kids would be better off with them for nothing.........
