If it is the divorce, they are both even more heartless, cruel, and airheaded than I ever thought possible. Who builds up suspense to a public divorce announcement and uses it for ratings? Those poor children.

I thought the same thing anonymous. Nothing like getting those ratings up. Sad and pathetic.

It really bugged me that Kate kept saying " my kids" about the houses, even though they may be going through a divorce she should have said "OUR kids" in the interview . I've watched this show from the beginning and now it's just gotten way to out of control.

We can only hope the announcement is that they are quitting the show to work on their marriage.

I'd like to believe that they're announcing that the show is ending, but I truly doubt it. Kate especially has done everything in her power to make sure she is front and center at all times, and preferably on the cover of People.

They're gonna get a divorce. That's what I've been reading anyway.

This situation is awful. I agree with comment #5--it would be great to hear that they are ending the show. I loved watching the earlier seasons b/c there were some really sweet moments with the kids and as a family, but now it's just sad to see them.

They're probably just "separating". Then they can get back together again for another ratings boost in the future.

I disagree that it's impossible not to feel for Jon and Kate as they do this in the public eye. I feel incredible sympathy for the children, who absolutely should NOT have to go through this publicly, and I have little to no sympathy for the parents who are forcing them to do so. Jon and Kate chose to continue the tv show at all costs, including their children's privacy and basic rights. They're even using the divorce to INCREASE their publicity and make it even more of a frenzy.

Although I suppose it is impossible to not feel for them. Feel contempt and disgust.

Let's all stay positive and hope they are announcing that they are ending the show.

I mean I really could care less about it and never watch the show. So I'm going to think happy thoughts into the weekend....

I am really pulling for them to be ending the show. I have been a fan for so long, I just would hate to think, like several of you have pointed out, that they'd actually try to get a ratings boost out of a divorce announcement.

they're separating, remaining friends, united in their love of their children, they will ask for the public to refrain from judging either party and respect that this is a difficult period for them and they hope to work through it. after this season ends they will file for divorce. if the other show with 6 kids takes off; buh-bye jon and kate. otherwise it will be kate and her 8 back for another round.

You know what would help keep the public from judging either party? Not doing it publicly.

I think Jon and Kate Plus 8 will be done but Kate will get a spin-off show about being a single mom with 8 young kids. She obviously doesn't mind doing the show.

the show used to be really good, a lot of fun and sweet moments...now it has turned into something completely different. talk about money & fame...they change people.

A woman with a strong mind and head is deamed a b*tchm yet the man who chose to cheat and lie because of a midlife identity crisis get off. Good for her for making the most of this show she possible can - who are all you to judge her? YOU go pop out 8 children and then come back and tell me you wouldnt be working your ass off to make money to support you increasingly expensive clan any way you could. Good on her. Shes a strong and inteligent woman - at least she has the wherewithall to make the most of what is going on, while husband on teh side cant pull his head out of his narcissitic sorrow ong enough to do the same.

I don't even know them, but I sure hope that they're going to consider marriage counseling. Trying to salvage whatever. They just had a renewal ceremony last year!

I used to watch the show until it became all about the things they where given, hair plugs trips and everything in between, I hope they are done with the show too, everyone is saying the same thing who want's to watch their marriage crumble on T.V.? I sure don't. I think this is the stupidest way to handle the end of a marriage and TLC should be ashamed of their selves for cashing in on a horrible situation like this. I hope Jon and Kate are done for good.

I've watched on and off over the years, but always enjoyed the sweet family moment. Now, just the sight of these two disgusts me...Jon needs to grow some *%@&*^! backbone, and I wish Kate would shave that rats nest off her head. Whatever this huge announcement is, I just wish they'd go away...they're not celebrities and don't belong on the cover of gossip mags and have no business invading my popsugar!!! okay I'm done ranting now

I don't know, I find them more interesting now, maybe because they've done such a 180 from where they started. They used to be this perfect, happy, Christian couple, and now they're embroiled in this messy drama. It just shows how you can never know one's life will go in the future--you can take nothing for granted.

i would think TLC would be responsible for the commercials and advertising their divorce publicly. I don't think the network would give a couple the freedom to decide when to publicize what.

This show is use to be mindless entertainment now is hard to watch. I seriously feel so sad for those little kids. When the idiot parents go at it, look at their little faces. So sad. TLC ought to end this show. It's hard to watch now. People want to be entertained and check outof real life when watching TV. TLC should do the right thing for the kids and end it.

Jon cheated on his wife. He should have had some balls and just ended it. If he was sick of her bithcy ways, he just should have left before moving on. He still has to raise kids with that woman. It's one thing if you want to leave, a whole other thing if you burn her on they way out. He deserves whatever he gets.

TLC runs the commercials, but not the other publicity Kate does. And TLC can do whatever they want, if Jon and Kate don't provide fuel, the commercials are nothing. TLC can't decide when they make a divorce announcement and I have no doubt Jon and Kate planned the timing to coincide with the TLC promotion and publicity.

I have only watched this show a few times and I have always thought it was ridiculous that people were so into it. I hope this show ends so I don't have to hear about them anymore.

You can stop hoping it's that they're ending the show - they just filed for divorce. They have not, of course, attempted to end the show.
