Would you carry an extra gadget to press your child's lunch? For parents on the go, the Wean Machine ($25) is a portable tool for creating nutritious pureed meals. The BPA, phthalate and PVC-free gizmo can be filled with soft, ripe fruits and cooked veggies before it is squeezed to create foods for babes beginning their solid feeding. The Wean Machine comes with a spoon for easy use and is dishwasher safe. Would you invest in one?
Would you give the Wean Machine a try as an alternative to steaming and pureeing foods?

I would take this everywhere with me! I might just save this link for when I have my next kid.
1I like it. I'd definitely use it. I just don't like the name because solids doesn't mean weaning, but it's more of a twitch than caring enough to not buy it. lol. It's no different than a food mill, just more portable.
2Actually, weaning starts the second you give your child solid food. So I don't have a problem with the name.
3That would be great for when you are out to eat. Little ones don't eat much so you can just share your food.
4Is this basically just a large garlic press?
5i agree that this would be a nice little gadget to take out to eat with you so baby could feel included more...weird name though
6Why not just use a fork???
I think it's a weird name because in British English, 'weaning' means the introduction of solid foods (i.e. around 6 months of age), whereas in American English 'weaning' means stopping giving the breast or bottle as a primary food source (i.e. sometime after the first or second birthday).
