Ketchup is quite possibly the most tot-friendly condiment. Whether your lil darling drizzles it on his entrees or uses it as a dipping sauce, kids love the tomato paste. Like most childhood favorites, including chicken fingers, mac and cheese, and buttered pasta, the bottled goodness has undergone a makeover.
Krazy Ketchup ($7) is the Jessica Seinfeld-inspired version, made with organic tomato, butternut squash, carrot, and sweet potato purees. Created by two moms whose toddlers had begun to fight off vegetables, the concoction was designed to add some additional nutrients to their diets without inciting a riot at the dinner table.
Would you serve this to your children?

Does it taste good? Is it weird that I kind of want to try it...?
1I think it's silly. I understand using it situations of special needs where kids can't be convinced to eat veggies, but the trend of "hiding" vegetables disturbs me as a whole. How will kids learn to eat a balanced diet if we hide stuff?
2This is brilliant! Why wouldn't someone use it. My son loves vegetables but I would still give him this ketchup. Ketchup doesn't have to be wasteful now. I would like to use it too.
3Also, exactly how much of this do you have to feed your kids to replace a serving of vegetables? Because a regular ketchup dip isn't that much, this makes me picture having to eat it by the spoonful. Gross.
4And to add, this would be great for my sisters husband, who refuses to eat veggies.
5Hiding Veggies is an art!!!! I will do ANYTHING to get my daughter to eat veggies. LOL -
6mstrauss's - from above. My husband too!
I believe she has a recipe for ketchup in her book, I'm not sure if its quite the same as what's being sold her, but $7 for ketchup is pretty high, considering my daughter and husband go through a bottle almost weekly.
7As a creator of this product, our intent is purely to get kids to eat MORE veggies (my kids dip carrots in it) and there aren't any ketchups on the market this healthy 100% Organic and taste this good.
8Sure, its a good idea! Would I buy it for $7... probably not.
9I LOVE ketchup, but I know it has a lot of sugar in it. If this actually tasted like ketchup I would be willing to pay $7 for a healthier version of my favorite condiment.
10It's made with organic agave - low glycemic index - NO high fructose corn syrup, NO added sugar - only natural sugar you get from all the veggies!
11only if it tastes exactly like ketchup! i put that on everything!
12I don't see why not especially since it's organic.
13i don't see how getting a little extra veggies here and there would be a bad thing!
