The next generation of Duggars will begin with a baby girl! The entire big brood — Jim Bob, Michelle, and their 18 children, including eldest son Josh and his wife, Anna — appeared on The Today Show this morning to uncover the sex of the impending babe! The newlyweds cut into a cake dyed pink to reveal that the first grandchild will be a lil lady. Though the couple has not committed to a single-letter name theme like Josh's parents, plans to decide on a fitting moniker for the child due in October are in the works! Congratulations!

1I guess congratulations.
2i LOVE this show. while it's a little hee-haw compared to the world the rest of us live in, they have family values and they really seem to like each other. the hatred, anger, and all the other crap our lives are filled with just doesn't exist in theirs. it's almost like watching leave it to beaver.....
3It already is a girl. The girl "will be" born at a later date, but she already is a girl.
4I feel sorry for that girl (the new baby and Anna). Her only purpose in life will be to cook, clean, help raise her other siblings, get married, take care of her husband and give birth to another large brood of children. She probably won't leave the states, go away to college, or have an oppurtunity to have a life outside of her family.
Family values is nice but damn can your children have a life. A Duggar family rule is that their not allowed to dance. Why? What is the purpose of not allowing your children to dance. Can you say stifling.
5frank y ava.. i hear what you're saying. i'm cautious to talk badly about people's lives and i'm not judging. however it must be hard to have your life already planned for you before you're born.
6If you listened to the piece you would have seen that they do not have planns to have many children like Josh's parents, but 2 or 3. As for leaving the country and seeing the world, many people choose NOT to do this, besides that, many of the Duggars have left the country and seen part of the world and do humanitarian work. Althought their lifestyle is not one I would choose for myself, I don't see anything wrong with it if everyone is happy. Nobody is getting hurt by being taught respect, patience, love and religion.

8I love your show and I never miss a episode even if it is a repeat. Congrats to Josh and Anna and a good name would be Deanna or Brianna then you can have a different letter then mom and dad and stil have Anna in it. I just love all of you and specially love Jill
9How can anyone have a bad word for these people. They are all happy and respectful of each other and others. You don't have to live your life like they do! They take care of themselves and haven't used government money to support them. They live their lives for God, and seem to enjoy doing it. Really what is not to like. Congrats to Josh and Anna.
10i love the duggar family , i try to watch every episode that i possible can these folks love and respect each other it is so nice to sit and watch a reality show that has true meaning of love and respect for theirselves and others and for god i hope and pray they never go off the air , congradulations to josh & anna on their precious baby girl i think marybeth would be a pretty name for the baby but reguardless of what they choose to name her she will a beautiful well rounded young lady one day , best wishes to all of the duggars and god bless,,,,,,,,
11Some people may consider the duggar childrens life restictive in some ways perhaps but their lives are full to bursting in the ways that lead to self- awarness , pride and motivation.Childhood is a very short part of your life and the odds are very high that the love and structure and close supervision and guidence will almost certainly create strong adults that will have best chance to go out in the world with confidence that comes from knowing they have used every second of their childhood to discover their strenghths, their talents, their ability to solve problems, work well with others and yet will almost certianly understand the value of finding alone time. Their are far too many children in this world that are being forced to live without things many other do not like enough food or clothing or a home or even a single adult to look after them while they are still just a few years old. The Duggar children may forgo things like dancing but they are taught to love music and moving through the world witha graceful love and respect for the way they interact with every one and everything that makes up the world we live in.That is a dance we should all be so lucky to be taught to perform as we go through life.I have been gifted to have 5 children of my own and I have treid very hard to teach each one that so long as enough people are out in the world that have been taught to care a little more about how you treat the people you meet in life than you worry about how they treat you and always take others more serious than you take yourself ... everything will have a way of finding the room it needs to work out just about every challenge that faces you and you will almost always notice the moments of joy, possibilities and miracles that await us all durring our lives. I am sure I have not given my children everything they have wanted and trying to be a good mormon parent I am certain my children have not had some things a lot of other children consider common place in their lives. But I am sure I have taught my children the importance, acomplishment and pride that comes when they see me work as hard and smart as I can to provide everything I can that they need, to be strong in morals, conviction of character.health, faith, and an integral member of our family and of their community.
12I can see that the Duggar children are being taught the dance of life and they are not likley to miss one mintue of sleep over the fact they may not have been taught to step to some music. No one learns everything there is to learn but the Duggar children all seem to have learned everything they need to know to be happy successful and motivated to work well with others and stand up tall on their own for what they believe in.We should all be so "restricted" as the Duggar children when it comes to being raised in a structured family.
I thought Josh and Anna had it in their wedding vows to have as many children as God gave them.I wonder how all the girls feel about marriage when they've already done nothing but raise their mother's children.I was the oldest daughter of six and I did'nt really have a childhood. I did all the cooking and dishes from the time I was barely old enough and even started doing the laundry on a wringer washer and clothesline, when I was in the sixth grade. If I said I don't have any resentment,I'd be lying.
13OH MY GOODNESS-IM SO HAPPY FOR THEM...
14I CANT WAITE TO SEE WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE.
people will always find fought with other people, the duggars are living a christian life and how they believe is noboby's business, but christian people get talked about all the time.i am a good christian and as far as their kids go giving them chores is not wrong at least their kids are not drinking, drugging, murdering, stealing, etc.me and my my family watch the dugggars every week we enjoy their show the kids are well behaved. give them a break they don't bother anyone and if people don't like their beliefs or anything about them then don't watch their show people need to find something to occupy their time with instead of belittling the duggar family.
15I love the show...The Duggers have spiritual growth in thier family unlike people of this world today...Everyone should get a clue about this family and learn to treat and respect eachother better...Congrats to Joshua and Anna and thier baby Makensie...May angels surround Anna's womb and keep the baby healthy in her last stages of being pregnant.
