Like many wives, Elizabeth Edwards made a life with her husband, John. The couple had four children and lost their eldest son to a tragic car accident. Elizabeth supported John on two presidential campaign tickets and even as she battled cancer. All she asked of him was to be faithful. Today on Oprah Elizabeth addresses the rumors about John's alleged love child and says she doesn't know if the baby is his as it does not look like her offspring. Would you be so indifferent if your spouse was in this type of situation?
I don't understand how you couldn't care. It would have a huge impact on your life. I would assume she's feigning indifference because it's a pretty good chance the child is his. Otherwise
why wouldn't they just get a DNA test?
I wouldn't care because I would not give him the satisfaction. I would not want or care to know because I would not stay with him. BTW he does not deserve someone as beautiful as her. And she
deserves better.
Even if I were not going to stay with him I would want to know because if we had children, I would want to know if my kids were going to have a new sibling. And I would want to be able to
explain that to them and help them understand.
Even though what he did was wrong, they have built a life together and will always be tied to each other, no matter what, so it does matter.
yeah, I would need to know for closure or to move on. I feel I would deserve to know and not have that unknown always out there to drive me crazy- regardless if I stayed with him or not.
If it were me, I'd want to know. But she may not want to know because it's possibly easier for her to deal (by being in denial/not-in-the-know). The lady is fighting terminal cancer, she
probably needs to keep the family together as best as she can, plus after the death of their son, man, it's probably because she doesn't want to lose anyone else. It's rather heartbreaking.
That's why I want so badly to kick John Edward's @ss although I don't know him.
Then I have a feeling that later on, after Elizabeth has passed on, the truth probably is going to come out. I don't think they paid the other woman off to keep quiet forever, when the money
runs dry...and she got refused of payment, she's going to be out there in the public.
she's going to have to face it someday if it is his, so if it were me i'd want the biological facts asap... but if was very sick, then maybe this wouldn't be the priority

For one, you need to know if the other woman will be coming after him for child support.
1If I planned on staying with him yes. But the chances of that happening will be slim to none, so no I wouldn't care.
