Birthing From Within
Birthing from Within (BFW) was developed by midwife Pam England in the mid-1980s. It
teaches followers that "the essence of childbirth education is self-discovery, not assimilating obstetric information." It uses a spiritual and holistic approach to childbirth, including nutrition, open communication with care givers, labor positions, and postpartum planning.
