10 Reasons I Will Never Be a Perfect Mother
Everyone has a vision of the perfect mom, particularly new mothers who just want to be the best for their children. I was no different when my daughter was born — I tried to juggle it all without breaking a sweat. And then my son arrived, and my life fell into perfectly magical disarray. So I cut myself some slack and learned to live in the moment rather than worrying about what I wasn't achieving in my role. To see a few of the reasons why I will never be a perfect mother, check out the slideshow.

nice post~ i can relate to some of these, especially the no bedtime.
1I was a nightmare for my Mom about socks. She used to have to take them out of the package and feel the edges (where the stitching is by the toes) to make sure they weren't too thick then she'd have to come home and trim them further. I would scream bloody murder about the socks hurting my feet. I can't imagine what karma is going to do to me.
2that's a good post..
3It takes a truly great and confident mother to admit all this. I can't help, but respect that. No one is perfect. NO one.
4This is awesome.
5LOVE it! You are an amazing mom who does juggle it all.
6Very cute family pic btw
Lilsugar, thank you so much for being a real mom. I am
always so happy to come to this blog and find real post by real moms. I too have forgotten so many things to turn in. Unfortunately my son has a stepmom that is a perfectionist super type A
personality (but loves him so I can't complain too much) and I'm often left feeling like I am the worst mom in the world. It's nice to read these kind of posts and just feel normal
7Awesome post! You sound like a wonderful mother.
8I love this. I have trouble with keeping socks on my daughter as well!
9I'm not a mom yet but hopefully within the next year. It's nice to read a post like this and know that it's ok!!
10great post ... i like the truthfulness. sometimes being "perfect" isn't all it's cracked up to be ... and "perfect" can mean many different things.......
11I think you sound like a pretty awesome mother! You'll be the kind of mom who will close to your kids their whole lives
12I can relate to so much, it is lovely. Thank you so much for this post.
13I am trying to be a perfect mom, but guess what? It's just not working..... the dishes are still in the sink, the garbage is still in the wastebasket, the laundry is about to hit the ceiling any day now etc. etc. etc... But my son laughs really hard at my silly faces, climbs all over me, gets dirty from head to toe on a daily basis.
