this, to me, is just weird
1it's just a roundabout way of still having a shower for a second child....it's not customary and therefore seems sneaky
so... instead of getting a second shower, you just throw, for yourself, a shower that's really for the older sibling ?
And no one will believe - regardless of true intent - that this isn't asking for gifts?
... and what little kid wants to host a shower (?) for his or her new sibling?
2It's not celebrating the birth of a new child to shower the older one with gifts and parties. I don't get it. Why the hell would my older kid's friends care about a baby shower?
3give me a break. i'm sure my 3.5 year-old and 20 month-old (and all their friends) are dying to throw me a shower. it's kind of tacky.
4I love the idea of throwing a shower for the sibling. So many children feel slighted with the idea of a new baby coming into the family and this gives them the opportunity to get excited about the newest addition.
5I think it's ridiculous.
6This is incredibly tacky. If I got sent one of these I'd be incredulous.
