My husband is a breastfeeding fanatic. It's not the act he's crazy about, but the benefits for our lil guy that keep him pushing me to nurse longer. While I know "breast is best" sometimes I just want to stock up on formula and bottles. I don't mind the act itself. What bothers me is the need to wear nursing pads 24/7, pump at work, and that I am the only person fit to feed our son at 3:00 a.m.
It's fantastic that my hubby cares about the health of our boy; only I wonder if it was up to him, could he nurse for a year?

We don't have a child but he doesn't care bc his brothers and sisters were all formula fed (except for him for 5 months). I on the other hand am determined to try breastfeeding if I can.
1he totally cares as he knows that BF is so much better for the baby's health, but he would never insist
2He cared and wanted me to BF. When it wasn't working out (again, I failed with the first child) he was the one who wanted me to stop trying. It was making me insane and I wasn't happy. The baby wasn't happy, nobody was happy. We switched to pumping for awhile and then to formula. He never once put any pressure on me or made me feel bad (I did enough of that for everyone). He's really the best.
3My husband didn't understand my need to keep up with nursing our daughter for so long and why I would sometimes get super frustrated with the hassle. Eventually he saw why I felt it was so important to nurse her and encouraged it (plus it was way less than formula!) He was a little hurt that he couldn't always help with the feedings.
4He would like for me to try to BF, obviously if I can't he won't be upset with me. His mother did not even try to BF him so its important we try.
5my husband is kinda indifferent, he knows its good to bf but he wont fuss..our baby is 1 and a half and he wonders why I am still breastfeeding her.
6"that I am the only person fit to feed our son at 3:00 a.m."
Amen sister! Ugh, that is the worst part of breastfeeding.
