I really really want an iPhone,but can't justify the "litte" extra's

idea but where would you be for the phone to call you? Wouldn't you be in the same house as the baby?
1What if someone calls your cell while the baby's nap? I don't know, why not just use a regular monitor? The description makes it sound like they're encouraging moms to put baby down for a nap and go run errands or something. It's weird.
2I think this sounds ideal for vacations or trips to grandma's house when you don't want to lug your monitor with you.
3We have a baby monitor that NEVER works so this would be helpful if he's napping and I'm down in my office catching up on work, but if it were anywhere near enough to him, he'd have the phone apart before I could get upstairs to him. No matter what other phone-like toys we give my son, NOTHING compares to the iphone!
4I guess it might be helpful on vacation, but our monitor doesn't take up much more space than a phone. Plus that would leave me with a couple hours of not being able to text. *lol*
5OR! How about this idea. You buy a regular baby monitor, and then!! you don't leave your baby alone and go to a friends house. Or anywhere. I agree with Greggie's comment. It will make some irresponsible parents think "oh well i'll just go out and then come back as soon as the baby wakes up..." and leave the child alone.
6Another question - let's say my daughter rolls over with a deep sigh. The phone's detected movement and sound and calls me. I can tell she's still sleeping but now I have to go hang up her phone, waking her when I walk into the room.

8Yeah the description freaked me out just a tiny bit. I like the vacation idea but other than that I don't have a use for it.
9there is another one here, quite a bit cheaper. I have used it for a while now, seems to work well as an extra piece of mind when traveling.
