When the Really Scary Housewives of New York City aired last Spring, most of you were appalled by the women's parenting skills. The series' final episode, in which one of social climber Alex McCord's sons threw a shrieking temper tantrum in the middle of a dinner party while his parents sat idly by, brought out the claws with several of you, suggesting that the family needed to spend more time at home teaching social skills and less time gallivanting about town. We've now heard that Alex, and her husband Simon, are co-writing a parenting book based on their experiences with their own tots.
Given what you have seen of the McCord family on TV, would you consider purchasing their tome?

Uh... I wouldn't buy a CAT parenting book from those loons.
I wouldn't buy a plant parenting book from her.
they are social climbing train wrecks! heck no.
are they hiring someone to write it for them? because i dont think either have time to write a book on parenting, much less actually parent the kids. Both are social climbing nut jobs with no class.
ROFL...isn't she the one who had that live-in "french" nanny and flaunted their wealth by buying all those tacky a$$ outfits?!?!? Yeah, I'm sure people will have a hard time choosing whether to buy their book or foreclose their home...or better yet decide where their next paycheck is going to come from so they can buy food for the week.. HA. good luck! cute kids but parents not so cute.
I don't remember anything about this show or ever heard of it.
Shouldn't they fix their house first? Wasn't the stairway falling apart and exposed walls, and non finished floors, and, should I go on? Parenting tip #1 child proof your own home.
I'm generally not a mean person, but I'm pretty sure she is one of the last people I would consider buying a parenting book from. Who knows what she's like in real life, but as far as the show I would have to agree with the previous posters - crazy social climber all the way.
It would probably be more useful as a "what NOT to do in parenting" manual!
I think it is a toss up between Lynn Spears, Dina Lohan and this couple for best parenting book award.
No. I don't want to put cash in their pockets by buying the book, but I might glance at it at the bookstore out of curiosity.
I guess there are just trying to take advantage of the show, even though it wasn't really good at all. I don't think that Alex and Simon were the worst parents on the show, to be honest. What kid doesn't have a temper tantrum at some point?!? While they gave their kids strange names, they seem like they are just trying to give their kids a good life in a good school. The live in Brooklyn, which means they are outside of the craziness of the Upper East Side while outside of school, so hopefully that will keep them a little more grounded. But I still wouldn't read their book. Good luck with that Alex! Maybe you should write a book instead about your strange attachment to your husband.
They are not as SPECIAL as they think they are and their apple t-shirt is the most amateurish design ever.
i am a parent, like most of you on this website, whose kids will more than likely never need therapy due to their parents bad decisions (reality show).
Maybe SHE should be buying a parenting book written by someone like us.
