Let It Snow: Six Winter Getaways For Wee Ones
Smugglers Notch - Burlington, Vermont
Known for the early age at which they begin ski lessons — two-and-a-half —
Smugglers Notch prides itself on its learn to ski program. The resort's Treasures child care center takes lil ones from six weeks old to three-years-old, and includes an outdoor playground, a one-way mirror viewing for parents, heated snowmelt walkways and easy drop-off and pick-up including ski-in/ski-out convenience. The oldest children in the program, even if they are in diapers, begin to learn to ski and show off their skills while their parents are treated to warm cookies.
Off the slopes, the resort offers snowshoeing, ice skating, tube sliding, sleigh rides, horse-riding, a heated pool, daily bonfires, weekly fireworks, family games nights and an indoor rec center with an inflated Bouncy House, arcade games, a kiddie area, a large slide, an obstacle course, mini golf and more.
