9/10 awww cutie Leah!
Ok I haven't seen Beth in the past few episodes, shes even one of the authors of this book but that was never mentioned. Do you think something happend with their friendship? hope not.
1I've never watched this show because the whole concept of it really bothers me. They had more children than they could afford, so they got a TV show and exploit their family for money. I know a lot of people like the show, but it really, really bugs me.
2how in the world could you say that they have more children than they can afford? really? you know their finances? since you've never watched the show, those are some pretty big assertions from someone who is obviously uninformed.
it's not as if she decided to have 8 children so she could be paid by some show. they've said that 6 was more than they intended when she got pregnant. but they refused to selectively reduce and moved forward, raising their unique family. and kate has said on numerous occasions that initially, she agreed to it because she understands people's curiousity. those children are not exploited. they are well cared for and clearly loved.
what bugs me is when people make blanket statements about something and then follow it with "well i've never seen it."
wowsers!
3MHG I completely agree with you!!!
And martini, I too was wondering what happened to Beth, and we haven't seen Aunt Jodi or Kate's brother in a while either.
As always, love them and this was a cute episode. Yay 10/10!
4There's rumors on the net that Beth and Jodie both were "banished" when the show got so popular, so they wouldn't have to be compensated. Don't know how true that is. I hope Beth will at least get a portion of proceeds from the book she helped write.
5luckychick - easy with the comments! obviously they didn't set out to have 8 children. they wanted 3, and got a few pleasant surprises. they're taking advantage of this opportunity to afford their children experiences they wouldn't otherwise get (like going to hawaii and on a ski vacation and buying 8 bikes at once - expensive stuff), but in terms of everyday activities, they can afford to feed and clothe their children. they lived in the house when the show began. it's not like they couldn't do it on their own.
6I dont see why people freak out about them doing the show. They only film like 3 days of the week and its allowing them to do wonderful things they might have had to skimp on. They are letting people who wonder, and LOTS do, know how they do their everyday routines and tackle things that are massivly chaotic with so many childrne. and theres absolutely no reason they shouldnt be compensated for it. Its like getting upset and saying that someone who won enough money on the lottery to quit their jobs is living off other people becuase of the money contributed to the lottery fund. Give it a break. Its their life
While I do like the show, Kate drives me insane with how she treats jon,
7It was just an opinion people, calm down.
