My mom has a big family, which resulted in packed holiday gatherings. I don't recall a kids' table, but I do remember the "fun table." It wasn't a designated spot — my sister and I always slipped into seats far away from our parents and next to my young aunts and uncles. For conversational reasons or the sake of space, many families have a table just for children at their festivities. Do you?

I still have to eat at the kids table. Even though my kid now sits beside me.
1It's just the 6 of us so we all eat together. If we had company we'd have a children's table for the younger ones because our dining table is a square pub table with no leaf so no way to sit more than 8 at the table as it is.
2Kind of, I guess. We don't all sit at the table anyway, we just around the house wherever we can pop a squat. The kids are actually the ones who get the table because it's easier for them.
3when i was younger we had a kids table...i LOVED sitting at the kids table! now our celebrations are small so there is no need for a kids table, but if and when they grow larger i will have a kids table...so much fun!
4In my family, the "kids" (21+) still eat at the kids table
5yes we have a kids table, the kids table has now just grown up....soon we'll need three tables, the "old" table the "20s & 30s" table and the "kids" table.....that or a smaller family!
But the kids tables are by far the best!!!! I was recently at a wedding where we had a "kids table reunion" that was A LOT of fun!!!
