The Obama girls' Secret Service code names have been revealed as falling in line with the long presidential family tradition of having monikers that start with the same letter. Barack and Michelle's older daughter, Malia, 10, is Radiance and her sister, Sasha, 7, is Rosebud. It's not clear what, if any, rhyme or reason there is behind the names, but if you were moving to the White House, what would be fitting code names for your children?

Well, it's no secret when it's announced to the nation. My son would be Hercules.
exactly what i was thinking rosadilla! mine would be curly, moe and larry
Why was this leaked?
I was going to ask why this info was revealed. My daughter would go by Lightning.
I don't think it wasn't leaked. I'm not sure it's ever a big secret. Haven't we known all of the past first families' code names? I just saw a news story on the Obamas' code names on ABC News with Charlie Gibson and that is obviously pretty legit.
I should clarify to say say pretty legit, too. Like Brian Williams here. It seems that they are intentional news stories to me, but I could be wrong.
We always know the code name. It's not a big secret.
My boys would be Boog and Bean. It's just what I've called them. My daughter would be Princess. *lol*
My boys are T and T2. When in public I call them by that
My daughter would be Monkey!
Everybody's names are so cute!
My son would be Eagle. Mostly because I think it's fun to say, "The Eagle has landed" lol! Or Bubba- that's one of his many mommy petnames.
Yes — the code names are known. We wouldn't post anything that would compromise the Obama girls safety.
Scarlett or Marley. I like those names.
my son would attack (which is pretty scary, lol) but we call him zack attack, lol
my daughter would be swayze because ever since she was a baby we would call her reneezy wayz patrick swayze, i know weird but its stuck and she is almost 9
I don't get it.... Why do they use code names if everybody knows the code names? I must be missing something.
cute names though!
AFRY, the code names more of a tradition now than anything else. Since everything broadcasted over Secret Service transmissions is encrypted, there's no security need for code names. But that wasn't always the case, and now it's a tradition to use codes.
my son would probably be either Monster or Monkey...he certainly fits both descriptions..lol
My Son Would go by Trinity. But in the reality of things my son would be protected by the Security of the Cherokee tribal Council
