When he first announced his pregnancy to the world, most everyone doubted Thomas Beatie's true story. A woman who underwent a sex change operation to legally become a man, Mr. Beatie kept his internal female organs in the event that he might want to bear children some day.
Only 20 percent of you said you were interested in reading his book. This Friday, he and his wife Nancy are chatting with Barbara Walters and sharing intimate details, video, and photos of their birth experience. It's one show I will not miss. Will you?

No.
1No. Shes just a woman with a beard ( with an artificial penis), im not impressed.
2Never understood the hype. Yes, he is living as a man, but purposely kept all female reproductive parts in tact- not that groundbreaking I thought.
3I agree 100% with Martini Rossi!
I guess it is a slow news day for ABC and Barbara Walters.
4I saw the promo on tv and i think they might be naming their baby after barbara. just my impression, i'm not watching it either tho.
5When I saw the promo I was mildly disgusted! Just the sight of a "man" being pregnant kind of turned my stomich. It's just crazy what's considered entertainment TV.
6To each their own. I'm not appalled or upset by this, I just think all this attention makes it into a freakshow- exactly the opposite of what I would want if it was my life. If you wanted your privacy then you shave the beard while you're pregnant and play the "I'm a woman game". One thing I just don't understand at all is how you can be legally considered a man when your woman parts are still intact?
7No.
8RenSis, thank god, I'm not the only one here who's actually disgusted by this. I truly feel bad for the child. I'm not a religious person at all, but I think there's a limit. And, he should not be allowed to have a child.
9Obviously there is nothing special about HER getting pregnant as SHE isn'a man she is a woman!
10no way. I think its idiotic and very hypocritical whats she/he did.
11The baby is so cute!
12No.
There has never been a pregnant man. .
Get back to me, Barbara, when you have a guest born with a penis, scrotum, and prostate giving birth.
That would be news.
13I might tune in, mainly because I find gender-issues to be fascinating. I'm interested in the question of "what determines gender?" It is not just body parts, it is not just hormones, and it is not just how society perceives you. Even the concept of gender being "you're either a boy or a girl" - that's a societal construct. Other societies in the world recognize 3 or more genders.
14That being said, I'm somewhat surprised that this family is continuing to seek media attention. One interview (Oprah was the first, I think) doesn't rub me the wrong way, but this and the book and the original appearance seems a bit much.
nope not tuning in to this trainwreck
15I love them and all, and I wish them all the best, but I have better things to do on a Friday night than watch Bawbra.
