The other day, I had one of those days when every time I turned around there was another cereal spill, milky mess, or emptied toy box. My kids are pretty good about picking up after themselves, but I still spend a good deal of time at the task. How many times a day do you tidy up after your tots?

Same here, lil. My kids are really great cleaners but I know exactly what kind of day you are talking about!
1I work away from the home during the day so not nearly as much as my MIL law does who stays home with my son.
2They're in school now so not as often since they're not here as many hours in the day. But they're also older, so they do more cleaning up after themselves as well. I'll hit the constant following around to clean up stage again with the baby soon.
3We are trying (unsuccessfully) to sell our home, so I am constantly cleaning up after them. I am busy cleaning in one room and have to back track and re-clean another room they are in. It's understandable, but I am just wiped
4constantly, lol. hand prints on the fridge, jackets in the hall, inside of their lunch boxes, swim towels left in the car, hair ribbons on the table, hair brush on the bed, open drawers, tape left out, lights left on, and that's just off the top of my head. pretty much non-stop. they're doing home work and then sports teams and i like them to have some "down time" so i do pick up a lot. and i don't mind
at least we are past the days of baby food being raspberried
all over the kitchen and projectile barfing w/o notice!
5I just do a quick cleanup at night right before I put my preschoolers in bed. Then on saturdays I make my hubby take the kids out for a couple hours so I can get everything from the week put away. If my kids see me put something away it for some strange reason makes them want to play with it right then or they at least want to know what I am doing or why I am putting it away. It is a whole lot less frustrating and much faster to just clean up when they are not around.
6i guess it depends what the mess is!
I thnk my kids mission is too get suuuper dirty..so im cleaning them all day!
im sure secretly they love it..
7I Have four year old twins . all I do is clean up after them.
8I babysit for a lady with 5 children (Ages 8, 7, 6, 3 and 1... Whew! Poor lady is only like...33.) When I care for them, I am CONSTANTLY cleaning so the baby doesn't eat things off the floor or something, I am always exausted when I leave.
