Before the economy took a nosedive, health care was one of the hot topics of the 2008 presidential election. Having taken a backseat on the news front, it is still an issue for many families.
While many people are covered through work, some parents cannot afford to add their child on their health plan. A new study found:
The Census Bureau said in August 8.1 million, or 11 percent, of children under 18 had no health insurance in 2007.
Do you have health insurance for your tots?

They're fully covered, yes. Once we had one child we changed to a family plan and the price is the same until we have more than 5 kids.
1Yes they are fully covered thank god.
2We have family coverage. Of course, we also are lucky enough to have internet access and sufficient leisure time foe me to answer this poll, so...
3Anniekim *lol*
4They are fully covered, but my cost went up significantly when I changed my plan to a family plan. My employer switched over to an HSA, which lowered the premium I pay but comes with a steep deductible.
5My dad makes sure that all of us are covered- all 4 of us kids, my step mom and him, and if she would stop being so stubborn my grandma. She pays for her own now with Blue cross I think but its not like she can afford it.
6as of right now...NO..because of the strike...but as soon as he goes back to work..yes...hopefullys soon....its driving me nuts!
7Most definitely. If I had to because cost was an issue I would choose to cover him only and decline it for myself. Thankfully I don't.
8No, we pass on insurance by choice. We are a holistic family, so we have a chiropractor for some things. We are fully prepared to pay up front for emergencies.
