Sarah Palin may be the Republican vice presidential candidate, but she's also a mom. While juggling jobs, the Governor of Alaska stepped off her campaign bus with her baby, Trig, and was flanked by security as they headed in to an Ohio Walmart to purchase a toy and a pack of Parents’ Choice brand disposable diapers for her lil guy.

the only endearing thing about this woman...she is a mother, otherwise she can beat it!
1LOL meandtheo! Ditto!
2ugh. she is scary.
3Love her! Sarah for president!
4i agree meandtheo
5Oh how cute. . . she is playing mom for the cameras. Too bad her darling son will never see her if McCain is our next president.
6Did you hear she cut the special olympic budget in half for her state? Love how she exploits her baby too... there is no good in that woman
7This woman is no mother. It's clear she isn't truly parenting this special needs child. To drag him out for a photo op is grotesque. Lastly, what sense does it make that a woman worth over $1M would be buying off brand diapers? PLEASE.
8sad that the baby is just a prop in the campaign.
9She should at least splurge for the White Cloud (John Lennon themed) brand!
10Wow the amount of hate here is incredible.
Its one thing to disagree with her politically, but to spew hate at her is disgraceful.
11haus...I agree. I really don't like where she stands politically and all, but sheesh back off her and her family. Do you people really know her and her family all that well and see them on a daily basis to make this kinds of judgements?
12yikes. why don't you tell us how you really feel? Threatened?
Since when do moms have to stay at home in order to be considered a "good mother?"
Flashback to the 50's much?
And don't believe every word that comes out of Olbermann's mouth. Palin increased the spending for Special Olympics, but the increase was half what they wanted originally. So that's a skewed way of reporting those "facts"
13This is a post about Sarah Palin's family. Mothers do not have to stay home to be good mothers. I just feel that someone with five children, one with special needs, and one who is exposed to national scrutiny for teenage pregnancy, is choosing her career over the well being of her family. No hate here, just observation.
14It scares me when people read one thing from one source and believe it whole heartedly. Think for yourselves.
15Last time I checked, Sarah Palin had a husband. Why can't he be the primary caregiver for the children while she works? And why aren't any of you pissed that Obama has had his kids out for interviews and pictures. Double standard, much?
To those who posted nasty comments on this thread - If she were the democratic candidate for VP, I'm sure all of you would just be gushing about how fabulous she is. It's sad that you refuse to see her accomplishments just because she belongs to the republican party.
16Just to clarify - I certainly don't expect you to vote for her, but how about showing her just a little respect.
exactly trixie.
ya and last time I checked she did have a husband, and so what if her daughter is pregnant, is she
supposed to go into hiding as well.sh*t happens. get over it
17She can't take the baby out for ,then it is just for a photo op,if she were to never take him out, people would say that she wanted to hide him or that she was ashamed of him.
Amazing how a man can be powerful and considered a good father but when a woman tries to do it she's considered a bad mother.
18She has a husband to help her raise her children.
If you don't like her political position that's one thing but lay off attacking her mothering skills and family.
I think she rocks.
19Go SARAH!
I am with Jadelyce. I agree that she is a fake that is exploiting her children to deceive people into thinking she is just like them. I highly doubt she uses a cheap diaper for her son Trig. If she does that really makes her $150,000 shopping spree look even worse..lol This was all for show and I find that pathetic and disingenuine.
20You've got to be kidding.
21Me kidding? No..lol
I saw the video of her buying cheap "people's choice" diapers from wal-mart. That was nothing but a political stunt and exploitation of her son which is really digusting to me. If she really uses that brand of diapers on her son when she makes a good income and then decks out shamlessly then that just proves she puts herself first. She is no average Jane like she feins. Beleive me..she can afford Pampers..lol
22Well, that is your interpretation of events, many of of have a different one. And the diapers argument is insane. There are tons of cheap diapers that work as well, or better than the expensive ones. And what makes you think they have money? They actually live a modest life. If you are talking about the clothes crap that the MSM for some reason thinks is news, those were purchased with rnc funds.
23For those who are so in love with Sarah, I have a few questions. I really wonder how you feel about her firing her ex brother in law? Did you read the reports that about the investigation concerning this? And how about charging the state thousands so that her kids can travel with her... and stay in 5 star hotels? On one trip (for a 5 hour conference) she and her daughter stayed 5 nights in a 5 star hotel in New York? How does that sound?
24I am all for voting across the lines... but not when 1 side abuses their powers so blatantly.
