3 to 5 times. A lot more when she's sick. But EVERY TIME I go to the restroom. (Which is usually a lot. I like to drink water before I go to bed.)

Yes, although I've backed off since school started. I'd generally end up waking them and I don't want to risk them not getting back to sleep during the week. I stand in the doorway though and attempt to hear the sounds of two boys breathing.

The baby, she's easy to check on since she's two inches from me.

My mom ALWAYS did this! And since I still live at home (yea I moving out soon!) she still does it! lol she so wonderful. I guess its a habit. When she comes home from work late she goes straight to my room.

I check on my kids once before I go to sleep, usually about 2-3 hours after they have gone to bed. If they are sick it is more often, but if they are really sick I keep them in my bed or on the couch in the next room anyways.

I usually let them be because I fear waking them, but I do have a monitor going for the little one and walk past my son's room and listen. If they are sick, that's another story.

i guess i stopped doing that, huh. don't remember when i stopped. i don't let them sleep with the windows open, even if it's hot. and if i have other windows open in the house open when they are asleep i leave the the door to my room or the office open so i can hear if their doors are opened.

my kids sleep through almost anything, lol. one time i was being the tooth fairy and i stepped on some tiny barbie thing and i let out a howl. lol, not a peep! good thing, as i stood there with the tooth in my hand

If I happen to wake and can't get back to sleep right away, I peek in on them. But it only happens once or twice a week.

I said yes, but it's mainly because he still wakes once or twice to eat, so it's a default thing right now. However, I still tend to check on him before I go to bed (he goes to bed at 6:30) and I'm sure that I will probably peek in for awhile once he actually starts sleeping through the night (because it will freak me out that he's sleeping so long!). I also have a video monitor, so that helps.

I tuck them in and then that's it till morning when they wake me up, unless of course I'm up earlier than them...sometimes, I am I will check on them if I hear a noise or one of them wakes me up with an issue, but that's about it ....

I only check on them when I hear something or I'm being paranoid for some reason. Otherwise I let her sleep.

Yes even though my house is alarmed like Fort Knox my husband or I will still check up on her if we hear a noise, if we're going to the bathroom, or heading to the kitchen for a late night snack. Sometimes I'll just stand in the doorway for a minute and listen to her breathing or I'll go in and give her a kiss on the forehead without disturbing her.

We put them to bed at 7ish and then I'll check on them when we go to bed. If I get up to use the bathroom or because I hear something I always go in and check on them. They don't wake for anything in the middle of the night. I can usually move them around and talk to them and they'll say things back, still passed out =)

It depneds on the night. I work the 8pm to 12:30 am shift so when I get home I check and on the nights I don't work if I wake up to use the rest room or if I hear a noise I check on her. But I sleep with my door open and hers open so shes like 2 steps across the hallway.

When my nephews stay the night they sleep with me and even still I wake up several times at night and place my hand on their backs to make sure they are ok.

Mine go to bed around 8, and I check on them steadily until I go to bed. Then again when I get up at the crack of dawn, before they're up.

our room is right next to the lil guys... he has a bit of a squeaky bed, so we can hear if he's moving or snoring (yup, when he's teethings and all schnoogly he snores)... so not really... he still wakes once a night a few times during the wk, so inadvertently we check on him...

I am always the last to go to sleep and usually get up 2x a night. I also drink water right before bed. I've tried to sleep through but sometimes I'll wake up in a panic and shoot in there to make sure they're ok. I also tend to call way too much and check on them when they stay with the gparents, (they live next door and i'm always freaked they'll wake up and decide to come home!!)

I totally did this with my kids... they are now 18 and 13... so... I don't anymore. But I do like to sneak in and watch my daughter sleep every once in a while. She is the SOUNDEST sleeper I have ever met!

My mom has always done this Alot of times I would only be pretending to sleep, because I was being a bad little kid and reading a book past my bedtime! I would hide the book under my pillow and pretend to sleep. She would also always make sure im still breathing

I dont have kids yet, but I babysit my boyfriends niece a lot, and I'll always check up on her a few times. I know I definately will also when I have kids.
