This shot of Piper and Trig Palin is about as good as it gets. The big sister had a lil mom spit moment at the Republican convention while her mama was at the podium. Taking good care of her wee brother, the seven-year-old tamed his hair with a quick lick and slick of her hand. Are you guilty of using this trick fix on your tots?

Awwww. She's too CUTE! Such a little Mommy!
1this is very cute...did anyone read the "conspiracy theory" about this being Bristol's son and a cover up by mom?? I saw the pics in US Weekly when Palin was supposed to be six months prego and i have to say, she sure looks small for a fifth rounder and that stage in her pregnancy! Don't know that i believe it, don't know that i don't...
2I don't believe that a 17 yr old would give birth to a baby with down syndrome. That is typically what happens when older women give birth which is exactly why I believe that sarah palin being in her 40's is the mother of Trig. What a wonderful baby at that awwwww.
3so cute
and Trig is sarahs.
4That is really sweet
5I heard that rumor too, meandtheo. But Trig is 4-months-old and Bristol is 5 months pregnant, so it's just not possible. Many say the rumor was the reason they released the statement about Bristol's pregnancy in the first place.
6sooooo cute!!!
7I used to be like that with my sis and bro...haha I still am
that is so darn adorable, bristol looked alot more pregnant in 2006 than now, im sure trig belongs to sarah
8I love this clip. Super cute.
9that really IS adorable... if your lil girl is taking such good care of a lil baby like that, i happen to think you're doing something right. i love seeing compassion and caring in lil ones (it offsets all the temper tantrums you see in the stores) heheheh
10and i feel horrible for that girl... at 17, if something i did was broadcast and speculated about, no matter WHAT it might have been... i would have been mortified beyond all mortifications... at 17, if my hair came out bad it was the end of the world... i think she's handling herself w/grace.
11I think that's adorable.
12I might have done that when I was 7 (like her) and babysitting (not by myself of course). I don't do it now though.
13awwww that is SOOO cute!!!
14that is too cute...
15Very cute. Precious.
16i thought that was the cutest thing. what a sweet little girl to take care of her brother like that.
17I never do this, but I think it's adorable to see her doing that!
18The pic that is floating around of Bristol supposedly being pregnant is from two years ago. Are you trying to tell me you never had an awkward chubby period, or any kind of awkward period? Sheesh, do some research before you buy into crazy blog rumors. That is just as bad as any Obama is a terrorist crap.
19And this video is adorable. My husband and I were watching the speech and just lost it when this happened. We had to pause because we were laughing so hard. She is a cutie.
20my kids would freakin kill me if i did that to them, but it's cute when she does it.
21BEYOND adorable -- both kids are great looking!!!! But yeah -- I would totally kill my mom if she did that. She smokes and it's just gross....LOL
22My husband and I laughed hard too!! She looks like a sweet big sister.
23aww, cute. i thought she seemed very at ease and natural in front of that big crowd.
actually most children with down's syndrome are born to young mothers because, 1) young women have more babies, and, 2) mothers over 35 have amniocentesis and often those mothers choose to abort babies with down's.
24awww, that made me smile! She's too cute!
25I thought this was adorable!
But actually the younger you are the higher chance of you giving birth to a baby with down syndrome. But I definitely think Trig is Sarah's.
26No, the chances of having a baby with Down's Syndrome increases as you age. There are more babies with Down's Syndrome percentagewise to younger women because of the average child-bearing age.
To bring in Wikipedia:
Maternal age influences the chances of conceiving a baby with Down syndrome. At maternal age 20 to 24, the probability is one in 1562; at age 35 to 39 the probability is one in 214, and above age 45 the probability is one in 19.[14] Although the probability increases with maternal age, 80% of children with Down syndrome are born to women under the age of 35,[15] reflecting the overall fertility of that age group.
27I thought it was so precious when Piper did that to her brother.
28I've heard numerous times that chances of down syndrome decreases with age and autism increases with age. I'll look it up.
29The increased risk of Down's Syndrome with maternal age is why they really wanted me to have an amnio with my last pregnancy, since I was 35. I haven't seen a single study that claimed it went down with age, only that percentage-wise, the most babies with Down Syndrome are born to those in the median age of childbearing.

31That is ridiculously adorable.
Too bad her mom still scares the sh*t out of me.
