There's a period of time after a babe is born when some parents are at a loss over how to entertain the infant. The wee one may be old enough to venture out on daily outings, but too young to hold themselves up in the sand or on a swing, making trips to the playground a lil awkward when you don't have an older child or friends with kids. Songbird Christina Aguilera and her hubby, Jordan Bratman, recently took their mini me, Max, to his first exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The seven-month-old is at a good age to take in the colors and patterns of artwork. Give your child some culture and take him or her to your local museum — many offer family memberships and discounts. Babies are not usually charged admission.
