There are hundreds, if not thousands of different belly butters, cremes, salves and potions aimed at pregnant women's bellies on the market and every mother (or mother-to-be) seems to have her own favorite. I've shared my most trusted stretch mark cures in the past, but I'd love to know what type of other ointments or products you rubbed on your expectant belly.
You can share your picks by bookmarking them on TeamSugar. I'll do a recap next week of your suggestions.
Don't forget to tag your finds as "belly products."

palmer's cocoa butter for stretch marks.
1I never found anything that worked for stretch marks, but I also didn't care much to worry about them. About the only lotion I can tolerate anywhere other than hands is Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar regular body lotion. Everything else is either greasy or has a scent that gives me a migraine.
2I was lucky and never got stretch marks, so I honestly didn't think about it. I just rubbed my normal lotion on my belly after showers.
3I use shea butter or olive oil. It's not greasy and it seems to be working.
4Mother's Friend. My mom sent me a few bottles when I was pregnant with my first. She said that both she and my grandmother had used it. Neither got stretch marks with either of their two children, and while I know nothing is really going to prevent stretch marks if you're prone to them, the stuff felt great on tight, itchy skin, and it was neat to use a product that even my grandma had enjoyed.
I didn't get any stretch marks with my first, and I'm praying I don't with this one - been using the Mother's Friend every day.

6Hi,
I used to have pretty bad stretch marks and red scars around my belly region ever since I gave birth to my three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but unfortunately it didn't seem to work too well. My Doctor had even suggested that I go for a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. It took a number of weeks but my stretch marks soon faded away. You can read the lady's article at the link below.
