Next to my husband, the people I trust most with my daughter are her grandmothers. Each one cares for her as if she were their own. I know they won't put her in precarious situations that would warrant child abuse charges. One 54–year–old Florida granny made headlines as she put her three–year–old granddaughter on the roof of her car and drove around a Publix parking lot. Claiming she would never hurt her child, the grandma said she drove at a snail's pace and held onto the child's leg!
If she were my mother, I'd have serious doubts about ever leaving my child with her again. But this has become a legal matter as she was charged with child abuse. It sounds like the granny was looking for a good time, but I can think of a thousand other ways to entertain a tot.
What would you do if your mother did this with your child?

grandma's lost it.
Never would I ever leave her alone with my child.
Snails pace my @ss!
1Might be time to get grandma on some meds.
2What happened to reading a book?
3moron!
4I'd whip Grandma's a$$ like she was a stranger......
5They need to test that woman for drugs. At 54 I don't think she's old enough to be senile. She would never be alone with my child again.
6I can see my dad doing something like that (with an older child), but my mom wouldn't even let us ride in the back of a pickup.
7That'd be the last time my child saw Grandma.
8Wow! My kid wouldn't see grandma for a long time ... if ever again. And I would be taking grandma to the doctor.
9I would have her committed!
10this is out of control! i can barely believe this story!
11gramma needs some evaluation...yikes! holy toledo
12I would be so angry. Someone needs some serious help.
13first off, at 54 she's not nearly old enough to be crazy because of her age (that picture is of a lady in her 70's, at least). That's just extremely poor judgement. My mother is 53 and would never even think of doing anything that stupid. I really don't understand what is wrong with people.
