Unique names are a trend of late though some are getting out of control. New Zealand parents who named their child Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii were reprimanded by a judge. After years of embarrassment, the nine–year–old girl is keeping her new title under wraps.
Celebrities are known to push the envelope with names like Zowie, Bluebell, Banjo and Pilot Inspektor. Take my quiz and see if you know who gave their kids some zany monikers. Scout and Tallulah Willis are starting to sound more normal every day! What's the most eccentric name you've ever heard?

we get points for quizzes? sweet!
16/7! I knew it was David Bowie but picked Lenny
Yeah points! I love it!
2jermajesty? really? wow
3Jermajesty is the worst one.
4seriously you want an interesting name change your own leave your kids out of it. Also Ireland is pretty normal comparatively
5yay we get points! love that!
6OOH! I didn't notice the points either! I guess the last two, but got 7 out of 7! Awesome!
7I like unusual names to a point...I think Apple is cute and Sunday Rose is pretty. HOWEVER, as much as I think it's neat to have a unusual name, I wouldn't do that to my child. It's not their choice and why make their life more difficult? I mean, Jermajesty...come on. I agree with MDW-change your own name if you want attention. Don't saddle your kid.
8Yay points for quizzes! Jermajesty?!! That makes no sense.
9points!!! omg
Some of the names actually seem a little normal (Ireland) crazy as that is
At least some of them (like Banjo) have "normal" middle names they can go by.
I've never personally heard a crazy name, but (I think it was) my sister heard a mom talking to her little girl and the little girl's name was Zebra!!!
10i would have got 7/7 but i didn't click the answer for #6, i was going to fast.
116/7 I didn't know the Jackson one at the end. Had no clue. I think the most off the wall name I can think of right now...celeb baby wise...is Moxie Crimefighter...Penn Gillette's daughter's name.
12I know someone who named their son with the middle name of ESPN
13yes, comparatively, Sunday Rose, Clementine Jane and Apple are pretty 'normal'.
14Talula does the Hula from Hawaii made me giggle.
My cousin's daughter's name is Bliss Camille. I thought that was pretty out there.
15First, yay for points!
Right after we had our daughter, a hospital employee came in to our hospital room to take her prints, etc. and was telling us about some of the crazy names she had heard. The one that took the cake for us was, drum roll please... MECONIUM! Yes, you read that right, someone essentially named their kid sh!t. (For those of you that don't know what this is, this is the term used for a newborns very first bowel movement).
16Luckyme, you must come back to lilsugar tomorrow for another quiz. You've already got one of the answers figured out!
17Wow I love that we get points for quizes now. Thanks!
18uber sweet points for a quiz!!!
19Also I almost got the Jermaine name but I thought he had pulled a George Foreman.
Babysugar - I'll be sure to look out for it
.
20My sister is a nurse a hospital she said the craziest names she heard was orangejello and lemonjello, and another child name abcde
21The worst of the bunch is Jermajesty, for sure. What an awful name.
I wouldn't be able to address the child without snickering. As an adult, he'll just sound like a major d-bag.
22Well, we won't be moving to New Zealand anytime sooon.
I guess Dipsy Doodle Pooh-Pooh-Head, Peter Eater Smack-a-Skeeter and Poppa's Gettin' Lucky Tonight won't have to pack their bedrooms after all.
23I think you'll find that Rachel Griifths named her son Banjo not after the musical instrument, but after Andrew Barton "Banjo" Paterson (17 February 1864 – 5 February 1941)- a famous Australian bush poet, journalist and author. He wrote many ballads and poems about Australian life, focusing particularly on the rural and outback areas, including "Waltzing Matilda", "The Man from Snowy River" and "Clancy of the Overflow".
24wow, I thought I was the obly one who had heard abcde as a name, it sounds pretty. abcidy....but its so crzy!!!!!
