while they are cute and I love everything Juicy, I wouldn't buy them for a kid. I would probably buy as a collector. I have lots of collectible Barbie and dolls. These would make a great addition.

I think they're neither fabulous nor freaky. They're not my thing, but I don't like JC in general, or Barbie.

I don't think they are freaky by any means (well the price tag maybe), but I too love all things Juicy; my 9 month old daughter and I have matching Juicy track suits (I know it is silly). I would not buy this doll though, it is just too pricy and she won't even get it.

Now the bratz dolls with all the make-up and hair, that is freaky!

yeah this is beyond stupid. and its completely new money to be buying your kids this. its almost tacky, and seriously obnoxious to be buying your kid a 100 dollar barbie. spoiled.

Yes, because we need to teach our young daughters the importance of over-priced fashion at such a young age. I hope the dolls also talk and teach them how to bag a rich man so they can afford such luxuries when they're older.

You know with the new Barbie clothes that they make I bet they look just the same so why not buy them those and save alot of money.

too expensive. there was a see's candy barbie a few years ago that i wish i bought. i think it was $30 and she was wearing the see's uniform (shorter version) and the box looked like a candy store, (little box of candy and cash register included). but there really isn't anything unique or special about these dolls.

I prefer their outfits much more those you see on brats and most other Barbies. A lot of collector's Barbies cost this much. Plus kids don't have to know what you paid, and most don't even understand the amount you pay for these dolls.

Not sure what about looking at these dolls makes people think it will teach a kid to care what others think. That'd be something you as a parent would have to put in their mind. They'd just see a pretty doll to play with, which is why I wouldn't buy it for a kid atm.

I don't think they teach "appearance is most important" anymore than any other Barbie. And I agree, much better than Bratz. But then again, I think a Pam Anderson doll might be better than Bratz.

At least they're not skanked out like the Bratz. I would choose the Juicy dolls over the Bratz. In reality, if I had a daughter, I'd probably just go with Barbie. Unless she was just dyyying to have one of these and in that case, what can you do? haha

I really don't think these dolls teach girls materialism. I appreciate their choice of clothing because they show girls that it is possible to look cute and trendy without showing off your breasts and ass (Bratz, gag)

Is there a story behind these characters? If these dolls have beauty and brains, I'm all for them.

I am not a Barbie fan. If I am going to spend $100 on JC I want it to be for me. I prefer to get my neices the Groovy Girls. They're cute without looking inappropriate or too diet-conscious for a tea party with a teddy bear.

They are cute dolls, their outfits are cute, etc. but I would never buy this for a child. Does anyone else think their legs look even skinnier than an actual Barbie Doll?

They are definitely more for collectors of juicy things than for kids, especially with that price tag. However, they are meant to be modeled after the two women who started the company, so at least the lucky girls who can afford them have that to think about.

i actually work at juicy, and i don't think these barbies are very kid friendly. they do look very much like pam and gela, and they're probably better off for collectors.

Well I like these a lot more than Bratz, but I wouldn't want to teach my child that it's ok to spend that much money on clothes (unless you have that kind of money),let alone on a DOLL.

They are super cute but highly impractical. Why would you spend $110 on a doll that is potentially going to get its head ripped off and close torn?

When I initially read this post and it had the "kid friendly or are you kidding" I was immediately put into that mind set that these were marketed at children. Reevaluating it, I believe these are just collector dolls like so many other Barbies. $110 for 2 designer dolls isn't really that bad if you are a collector. I've gone to the link at the site and they are under the kids category, but that may have had more to do with the webmaster not knowing what to do with them. Who knows.

I think they look fabulous. I'd love one...bust out my other barbies and play with my sister a little LOL
