Tots have a tendency to turn their noses up at fruit skins — apples, peaches, plums, etc. Peeling tends to tarnish and age the tasty treats leaving them brown and mushy. Before heading out for a long day of errands, consider adding a bit of honey and a fresh squeeze of lemon juice. The acidic liquid keeps the skin–free fruit from browning and the honey zaps the bitter citrus taste.

Honey is not recommended until your lil one is a year old.
1but i think this would be a great idea....
2I was going to say the same thing - please include a warning not to serve honey to children under a year. I even wait longer, just to be safe.
3I was told not to give honey OR citrus to babies under 1 year just today at the pediatrician visit. I knew about the honey and strawberries, but avoiding citrus in general surprised me. So yeah, this is great, but after 1 year.
I'm starting solid baby foods this weekend and there is so much to think about!
4Yeah, citrus can burn their mouths. But apples are fine.
