I think I spent $60 dollars for my first stroller. The style I liked was out of stock and I was able to get the one on display.

we bought the Eddie Bauer travel system stroller. it was about $200. I love the idea that I don't have to wake my newborn to take him in and out of the stroller, I can just remove the carset portion and put him in the car or wherever. also the fact that it holds up to a 50lb child, I am confident that it will last us a long time. the plastic is light colored and so is the fabric so it won't warm up as fast as some of the darker "collections" in the heat. it was voted most desirable stroller for new parents by babies r us.

I did way too much research before I bought mine ( I don't think I did much else before I left work!) and ended up with the Uppa Baby Vista. It is made in Boston i think and is really great. We used the bassinet for about 4 months and in the beginning it was the only way Will would sleep. We also used it inside on one of those Moses basket rocking holders - it fit perfectly. It held up to one of the worst winters Toronto has ever had and is still going strong - i love it!!!

I posted the Duo Glider by Graco. This stroller was fantastic for my twins for almost the whole first year when they were in the bucket seats, but they were not as comfortable when they were big enough to sit in the stroller. It also had a great basket underneath, very big, easy to access. We switched to the Bob Duallie shortly after their first birthday and they are much more comfortable in that one, but Bob needs to improve on the basket design. It's way too small and really tough to access.

Just like member "Sweet Rinda", I too did too much research and eventually bought the UppaBaby VISTA. I "test drove" the most popular strollers (i.e. Bugaboo, Orbit, Musty, etc.) at BuyBuyBaby (baby superstore) and loved the UppaBaby brand as soon as I laid hands on it. It's rugged and and turns on a dime...it's a stroller system that will last for years!

I especially loved the bassinet , my son slept in it the first few months of his life. I would tote him from room to room during the day, then by evening, when we were ready for bed I would snap it into the stroller base in our bedroom for the night. The best part of all, it folds with the car seat adapter or the toddler seat still attached. An added bonus is it comes with the usual "optional" accessories...a bug net and rain cover that fits both the bassinet and seat! Well worth the $600 price tag.
