Thanks to my heritage, I have always been lucky in the sun. I never burned as a wee one, but as I have aged and become more aware of its harmful rays, my skin seems to have become more sensitive too.
Then, last weekend I discovered that a pregnant woman is no match for the sun. Many expecting ladies develop extra sensitive skin and apparently, I am one of them. The Florida sun proved to be more powerful than I imagined. After applying sunscreen repeatedly, at the end of the day I was still one pink pregger mama.
When we flew home the next day, I grimaced in pain as my toddler grabbed at my necklace and clawed my sore chest on her way down. Thankfully, the pain has subsided and the red turned bronze. Next time I go to the pool, I'll be lathered in a higher SPF from head to toe.
Did pregnancy bring more sunburns to your skin?

I'm not sure it's possible that I could get MORE sunburnt! I only have to look out the window to look like a lobster. I have been taking Omega3 to try to boost my skin's natural SPF. My daughter not only inherited my skin but has to take daily antibiotics which make her even more sensitive. She practically bathes in SPF70.
1Yes! Since I have been pregnant, I burn so much more easily.
2I somehow had heard about that when I was pregnant last summer. I burn super easily as it is so I made sure to stay in the shade as much as possible.
