As parents we have to pick our battles and I'll just go ahead and say that this one the powers that be at Rushe Middle School in Land 'O Lakes, FL waged is ridiculous. Substitute teacher Jim Piculas was fired for performing a simple 30-second toothpick magic trick once students finished their work. He was cited with wizardry. Am I the only one with fond memories of playing "Red Light, Green Light!" or "Heads Up, Seven Up!" under a substitute teacher's supervision in grammar school?

Wow. Wizardry. People please, loosen up!
1haha honestly was that for real?? That almost looked like one of the onion spoofs haha.
2Jim Piculas = Voldemort
3what has this world come to?
4Are they going to start up the Salem Witch Trials again too?
5wizardry? That is so odd. Is it possible that there wasn't some bigger problem with him but they didn't have a legit reason to fire him?
6i saw this and thought it was dumb.
you can see the damn tape sticking out of his thumb.
7Well, geez, this opens my eyes. I'd better call the authorities about my uncle. He pulled pennies out of my ear all throughout my childhood!
Come on.
8this is nuts, cant believe the school district would even let it get as far as it did. people need to chill and just move past things that they dont like.
9Firing him for wizardry makes it sound like they believe he did ACTUAL magic not a trick. So now they believe in magic?? What a joke. Jeez, can't even entertain the students anymore
10Wow. This is nuts. People have too much time on their hands. Get a damn hobby or something.
