It explores "fears, busy brains and restless bodies" with tips for teaching children (I presume those ages three and up) to fall asleep and stay in a sound slumber without fear of the Boogie Man. I used to be afraid of the monsters under my bed, went through the whole routine of setting up my stuffed animal "sentinals" making sure no flesh was outside the protective covers. My mom didnt understand why no amount of soothing from her reduced my fears, so she sat outside my room one night (mothers intuition) which i shared with my older sister, and she hears my older sister saying to me "whats that under the bed, i thought i saw some eyes" and "is that one of your stuffed animals or a hand"
