Prior to my son's arrival, I laughed when I saw women carrying these bags. But now that I have gone two years without carrying my nice handbags, in favor of his diaper bags, I see the appeal of these.

One friend recently got the Gucci bag and I have to say I was impressed with it - great space, great pockets for organizing and it was just the right size.

If I had the money I'd buy one. Alas I don't so I go for the middles of the road. I agree PRSugar, I know I'd miss my nice purses if I had to give up fashion for Winnie the Pooh. Thank goodness I don't.

My husband got me a Coach diaper bag for my first Mother's Day and I have to say that it is my most favorite bag. I carry it everywhere, even to the office (it is a great size for files!). Because it doesn't look like a diaper bag, no one ever knows the difference -- unless they peek inside. It has amazing space and tons of pockets, so even after my daughter is past the stage where I have to carry around so many things, I can still use it as a purse.

i like the mid-range designer diaper bags...kate spade, coach...just because they seem easier to clean! i don't think i'd be able to handle getting formula or some other baby-related substance on a $2100 louie bag!

I have been dreaming of buying a nice big designer tote and just using it as a diaper bag....
something tells me that with all we need to buy before baby's arrival...it won't be happening!

I have one. I'll admit it. I had a nice ($100) Stork Sak diaper bag, but once my maternity leave ended, it wasn't very practical. I couldn't carry a huge pink bag with me to the office. I was constantly switching things from one bag to the other - diaper bag to briefcase to day-care bag. I was always missing something.

So, around January, I told my husband I really wanted a really really really nice bag. For V-day, he bought me a huge leather Gucci tote. It's the biggest splurge I've ever had. I love it, though! It's perfect for a briefcase and a diaper bag.

I'm glad it's a regular tote and not a "diaper bag" because I want to carry it forever (especially considering how much it cost!).

I have to admit, I did it! The first thing I purchased when I learned we were pregnant was the LV diaper bag! I had been eyeing them and was so worried they would discontinue them before we were blessed with a pregnancy. It took us years of 'trying' and 4 in-vitro's to get pregnant so I figured deserved it for all of the needles I had put in my stomach. Luckily my husband felt sorry enough for me and was so thrilled that we were pregnant that he bought it for me!!! I am due in 8 weeks so will see how much I really love it then, but think it will be a bag I can always use since it doesnt look like a diaper bag.
